The LS2 Advant X Helmet: First Impressions and Unboxing

My new helmet is going to be a ....
The title gave it away, an LS2 Advant X.
I did try something new with this video, an over-the-top old-school Exploitation/Grindhouse style intro. Which tells a story about the product, before we show the product.

I had an LS2 helmet a while back for green laning, really liked it, and not too expensive either!

Weirdly enough I hadn't heard of the brand before, or didn't remember it. But now that I know I do spot some different models around indeed. They have this helmet in a fully dark blue that looks stunning.

Grappige intro! Misschien de gesproken intro ook iets vlotter/enthousiaster starten, zou er iets beter bij passen. 😉 Al valt er natuurlijk nooit superveel over een helm te vertellen om enorm opgewonden van te raken. (Al doet ICON altijd wel zijn best om een behoorlijk hyped gevoel mee te geven in hun video's) Zo te zien sluit dit zonnevizier goed aan op/tot je neus. Erg fijn. Zit er een "city-stand" op waarbij het vizier minimaal open blijft? Op een X-LITE kwam het vizier recht naar voren als "city-stand" waardoor je altijd wat ventilatie had zonder dat de onderkant/onderrand van het vizier voor je dash zat. Anyway, leuke unboxing en first look!

Bedankt :) Ja, de intro was ook meer een leuk extra project, en mooie oefening om te kijken wat ik kan doen. Icon heeft een top media productie ja, en ook wel een paar top producten, dat helpt ook. Ja, de Advant heeft 2 minimaal open standjes. De "standaard" laatste klik, 1cm ofzo aan ruimte. En een tussenstandje, waarbij er echt maar 2mm open ruimte is.

Grappig, zat net gisteren te kijken naar deze helm. Maar ja, uiteindelijk is het meest belangerijke natuurlijk de fit. Sommige merken passen beter bij sommige hoofden dan anderen.

Dat zeker ja. En ik kon hem vooraf ook passen, juiste maat is ook zeer belangrijk. Audio wordt weer even uitzoeken, maar dat komt ook goed. En lekker rijden en kijken hoe die bevalt :)

So far it is quite alright. The small crack of the visor opening is ideal. Size of the helmet is a bit different to my skull, had hoped it would give in a bit more. But still new, so who knows. It is not to loud (windnoise). Only " downside" is the lack of a lip to open your visor with. But that is something you can easily get used to

What about helmet size? My head is cca 57cm.Size L?

I have 54cca roughly, I have a M. But on the M it says 55-57. So fitting is the best way to find out for sure.

Honestly, no idea. But the M is a 57/58 size helmet. My other helmet before was a Nishua L. And a Icon Variant M. So it seems to be in the same realm, size wise.

Well, the review is still coming, this was just the very first look. So far I have had a very short rainfall and a longer ride with a light drizzle. In both cases, it seems to stay dry with the visor fully closed. I do intend to ride through a proper-sized rainshower when the chance presents itself, before writing and filming a review.

Dit is wel echt een tokkie helm man, net zoals roof boxer enzo ....

Iets minder als de roofboxer, maar snap wat je bedoelt. Maar dat hebben veel van de systeemhelmen nu eenmaal. Het wordt of type politieagent/rijsschoolinstructeur, of het type "agressief"/tokkie. Dicht vind ik deze nog zeer netjes, en dat is hoe wel hem het meeste zullen gebruiken natuurlijk ;)
