The Lumix GH7 might be the right camera for you

6:50 as a Lumix user, I think it's a shame that we have this split between MFT and FF lenses, whereas on Sony the cameras share a lens mount between FF and crop sensor. I do wonder if that friction harms the uptake of Lumix as an overall system

​@@3dtrip870 I believe it is impossible because of flange distances :( I don't think Lumix would like my solution: I think they should start making really compact APS-C L-mount cameras to fill out the L-mount range, get more customers and lens manufacturers on board and build out a competitor to e-mount.

For many, many applications MFT is just fine, and it offers many advantages vs FF, just not low light.

Well a gh7 has more dynamic range than a brand new z6iii full frame camera .. so there is that.

Better quality ND filters are critical...... Lee and Nisi are the go. You get very little ghosting distortion with those brands

I’m with you. I own 3 GH6s, tried the GH7 and retuned it after a few days. The image from the GH6 is much more pleasing to me. Not as digital or over-sharpened as the 7

​@@andersistbesser What do you mean? He's right, the GH6 has better image quality, but that's just because its sensor doesn't have PDAF points taking up space... thus taking away IQ. With that said, the DFD AF on the GH6 just flat out sucks... big time. If you're doing manual focus, the GH6 is the way to go. If you need AF, the GH7 is the clear winner.

@Studiotek all the specs are the same. Gh7 has a better screen , a fan , cfxpress and the s5 body. Image is exactly the same. I bought gh7 instead of g9 as the differences are more than worth it to me

@@andersistbesser GH7 has the GH6 body, not S5. The G9II has the S5II body. GH7 also has a fan and more codecs. GH7 is a cine camera, where as the G9II is a photography camera that can also do video

@ i know gh7 has gh6 body but it is the same camera as g9 anyway. You can call one cinema camera and one foto camera, it does not matter they have same sensor, same specs, same results.
