I have a genuine question. Big Bad, Fangs, and most rehabilitated supernaturals at the Pen have killed a lot of people. At least enough to get the Pen's attention. And assuming Fangs has had a long time to do so, I'd guess they've kidnapped someone before. Why is Scales different? Is it because the people they killed were Pen employees? Is it because Sasha and Eve were the ones kidnapped? The argument for Big Bad getting a second chance was that they were changed and thrown back into the world with no help, aka they had no choice for a lot of it. At what point before Eve's deal did Scales have a choice? They were drugged with the blue moon orchid before they even woke up the first time. And every single choice after Eve's deal was made with either their, or Harriet's safety in mind. That sounds pretty damn similar to our other two supernaturals' stories. I'm not saying Sasha doesn't have a right to be afraid or frustrated but before this, her trying to convince Eve, Aunt Eris, and Sypher of how evil Scales was had me calling her a hypocrite under my breath. And I'm assuming a large part of the Pen staff who either fear Scales or want to kill them is made up of rehabilitated people who've done the same or worse before becoming Pen staff. If the demons don't attack first, all these people kicking Scales while they're down are going to eventually send them over the edge. It's called a self-fulfilling prophecy. If they're going to be persecuted no matter if they commit the crime or not, why not commit the crime anyway? Edit: "Sometimes I forget that you /were/ a person before all of this happened." Did...did she just imply that the hybrid is no longer a person? Then what are they!? A pet? A service dog? Or did she just subtly go back to calling them a monster?

Your analysis is very good I'm pretty sure it's all intentional as part of the story scales is a tragic figure and basically nothing about his situation is fair. One big difference is just scales power; flying, Bulletproof, flamethrower man is terrifying And Sasha is supposed to be in the wrong she's reacting to a traumatic situation, scales could have eaten her cousin in that hospital and she couldn't have stopped him. ( I'm using he/him because that's how I picture it)

They are taking precautions, they hadn't seen a hybrid like scales before and are being extremely cautious around him and Harriet. Say you had just come up on a creature that is classified as a dog but it was a hybrid breed, mixed with a wolf, what would you do? You wod do what any normal person would do, keep your distance and act with caution, now I do agree, Sasha's reaction to them is understandable, they were just kidnapped, tortured and almost killed, but you have to realize that scales was tormented by Harriet for at least a month, being turned into a creature created to destroy, and they were being forced to do the things they did, in the most recent episode Scales tells Harriet in the Ethereal "if you do anything to my pack, I will fillet you" meaning that all the people in that group mean something to him

I think grammatically, "you were a person before all of this" is the only way that sentence would make sense. You wouldn't say "you are a person before all of this" that's mixing present tense with past tense.

i think she treated lagartija differently when they first arrived into the PEN because they did have a part ( along with Harriet and others ) in her and Eve getting kidnapped so it’s kinda understandable. 🤷 It’s a bit hypocritical but character development is a wonderful thing!

@@ErisSerenity If i was Scales i would probably knowing my temper have just been like : I didn't ask to be made into this, i didn't ask to be drugged and tormented, i was just a regular guy/person before all this and now i'm am being treated like some animal, like some monster because of something i was not entirely in control of - I would then just walk out and stand outside. But idk she did apologize so i could look past that in a day or two. Also how big is scales the Dragon Hybrid when human, and do he/they look like a Dragon, does he become a full-on dragon or is it like humanoid dragon, I use He/Him cause that's what i am.

I kinda find the whole thing hypocritical, although I admit I can't imagine her emotional state after something like that. My problem is every monster involved has such a harmed so many people, but now that it affected her it's different. If the bad guys were an organisation of humans that try to find a way to tip the power balance I could even see their point of view.
