It would be nice to be able to see the hunting pressure on the map.

Do you use max settings? I don't think I have ever had issues with herds popping in, maybe I just haven't noticed it. Anyway great video as always

Animal pop in is hard programmed into the game by design. It's how they balance performance across platforms. To my knowledge graphic settings only effect foliage and tree pop in and not animal pop in. For example, all PC players (regardless of settings or PC spec) have a partial herd animal render range of 1.1km-1.2km

@@bumblewoot that makes sense. I don’t I’m looking more than 1km away, hence I’ve never noticed it!

I didn't know there was a science on the calls but that is about what happens when I use the calls too. Look like LiquidFire did a lot of work on that.

LiquidFire did do a really great job with the document and images 👍

I was incorp in ramblings when he did it, he hasnt pinged me about any changes. I did some other stuff with callers but not near that detailed on each caller

Thanks for the great sciencing presentation. Wish I had more time for discord to thank Liquid as well! Gonna have to see what kind of edge this gives. You were thinking of a word term for the zombie deer pattern... "loitering"? hmm i dunno kinda works :p I know this is petty but has anyone other than me in discord ever voiced annoyance that after all this time the high-fit and low fit deer call tone is still off? A mature buck sounds much deeper as I'm sure you know. I am wondering if devs genuinely think its correct as is? I'm happy to hear ou or be explained how I'm wrong but don't really have any doubt. You can literally buy deer calls with a dial changing tone to older bucks which deepens the tone. Its a silly detail to get hung up on I realize but to this day i still cant seem to get past lol Sorry I haven't rambled in a while I figured you were due one perhaps haha

I've always found the deer sounds to be odd. Especially the Whitetail. Though I do not see it brought up very often

How are your settings to have your blood trail to pop-up like that?

Hiker and explorer difficulty does that

I´m guessing that 85% Mature Elk was on the lower end of a 4-star potential. With an 85% he would for sure hade turned into a 4-star so must have been just below the 4-star trophy rating. The weight was on the top end so he must have been on the edge of getting that 4-star.

Trophy seems to get matures and maybe some adults, i cant remember

@@bumblewoot it was and if my sorry old memory works, I thought at one point some species might of had high fit adults. But ya it's fuzzy in the brain atm

I'm not sure if this is science, sounds more like chicken bones thrown on the ground. I just call until the stop then call again. Never seemed to have a problem. But as usual I'm probably wrong. Can't wait to see the outcome you figure out. Thanks for the good info!

I took out the one star bear yesterday and the female today, both were in the same place you found them both visable at same time. Today when i checked i had a one star young male spawn and was on the rare zone. Took the female so im hoping when i next check ill have a pair on the left and the lone male on the right. Also I took 6 mountain goats off one zone in two feeding spells without out flipping the zone. I'm starting to get the impression this game I broken as he'll or deliberately developed to be totally unpredictable I'd go with broken as all animals are predictable creatures of habit.

It's been a long road of puzzles to try and figure out if something is a bug or is broken. My game seems fairly stable now

As much as I like this game, and I like it a lot, lately the fact that animals are completely "blind" has killed my motivation to play it. They can´t see me i f I don´t move, no matter how close I am. That´s a complete inmersion killer. I can stand in the middle of an open field, the whole herd looking at me but actually not seeing me because I don´t walk. Such an strange/bad design decision.

yep, the lack of vision is very strange
