The fact that Illene says she still mourns the character of Dana, years after, is testament to her decision being the right one. I still think about Dana in 2024 and that's the absolute mark of a brilliant character.

The best! I am almost 46 years old now, this series was so important for my identity as a lesbian woman. I get a bit melancholic watching this. Thank you for this wonderful show.

In my opinion Jenny was killed by her dog, the pomeranian. To be precise it was an accident, she tripped on its leash and and plunged down the stairs which had no banister. In her past she had another dog killed for futile motives and, you know, karma.... Anyway, I loved Jenny, as a character. She is the first to be introduced in the series, she is the last to be seen in the end credits. And she seemed to play one different character each year. Exceptional.

Well I was also a young lesbian in the closet when this show aired. It helped me so much and feels like the biggest touchstone for our community.

I came out thanks to this serie, Right after i watched the episode when Dana died. She was the one the represents me at that moment. Now i'm kinda like Bette. What a change, right? xD

Whilst I loved the entire cast and have re-watched this series so many times; it was Mia's acting that always had the biggest impact on me -in the same way that Liev Schrieber's acting had a huge impact on me in Ray Donovan. They are the only two actors who have made me loathe their characters with deep digust, and also empathise with them, simultaneously. Actually, throw Jon Voight in there with Ray Donovan, as well. Truly gifted actors!

How awesome to see a majority of the cast reunited but where was Marina? oh well...Great to see Dana...she is so gorgeous ...as is Carmen....why can't they bring her back into the show? That would be a huge deal to see Shane getting back with Carmen. When will there be another season for The L word.....this show is way too good and needs to keep going ...cheers from Melbourne Australia

The L word generation Q has alot of the characters. Shane, Alice, bette Tina, Angelica, max, it's okay, not as good as the original but it gives bette and Tina closure and really gives them the ending they deserve which made it amazing. Only thing that sucks is you have to pay to watch it on like every platform it's on. There's 3 seasons.

Do you mean a remake, or a reboot? I could absolutely watch a reboot, but there's no way I could watch a remake of the original series. I can barely scrape through Gen Q, even with a few of the originals. This original series is a timeless classic, and I think it should stay that way. If they did a reboot with the originals characters; I'd watch it. But it would be deeply lacking without Dana and Jenny.

As a straight male from Los Angeles, and a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, I'm glad this show was well received by most!! Good to see equal representation in mainstream art. Sense8 is another great show that has a diverse storyline and cast that everyone should check out!

Honestly tlw is my favorite show. I first watched it in 2009, and I've probably watched it at least once a year since then. There really isn't anything else like it anymore, and it's a spot that needs filling. This just filled my heart with joy though, so happy to see our girls back together again. They all still look amazing, and I'm happy there's still so much chemisty there, surely if Sex & the City can get 2 (terrible!) movies, TLW can at least make a return in the same way! Also, sidenote, this is my first time seeing Ilene, she looks a bit like Frankie' s girlfriend Gidget on Wentworth!

I oddly found this video when i asked google if Daniel Sea was still alive. A part of me feels Sea didnt get to talk much and kindia funny takes up half the sofa in like a pretzel sitting position and of course no shoes and its just too cute but I have heard Sea is very shy so maybe prefers to allow others more talk time. Their character had a short screen time in comparison to the others.

We only saw a small portion of the video, though. It may have been a two-hour long session, and we only saw specific parts. In saying this, I did notice that any time Daniel would go to speak, someone else would take over.

@MadeInSeventyFour That is Hollywood for all we know I have heard from Directors and writers of films that interviews like this can be a 6 hour sitting order like the 6 hours doesn't include makeup and wardrobe if used or needed for the interview my mind was blown at that. Like Dustin Lance Black recently said he did an interview for the San Francisco newspaper for the Milk film years ago it was a written and a video interview the video had to hunt for it was 2 mins long and he said they filmed for 3 hours, 6 with wardrobe and makeup and hair for what boiled down to 2 mins. The written interview had about 2 paragraphs . But since Sea did portray physically the first Trans main character in tv or film history globally it would have been nice to hear a little bit more about how he felt during filming or maybe even some remarks on the now dated clothes he wore on set....
