My favorite theory of this Song is pretty much this: Online Dating and hook-up culture (Tinder etc.). Sounds crazy but go through the lyrics. A person who came out of a reltationship from a time before online dating was maybe even a thing. "The perfect start to a perfect war Putting down the roses, picking up the sword" From classical dating to pretty much competing against others. "These days I'm a circuit board Integrated hardware you cannot afford" "And these days I'm a picture frame Screaming at the sunshine, singing in the rain" All about how you portrait yourself online, perfecting your online profile. "Silicon ballrooms Subatomic interactions if it's all good Gold rush, acid flux Saturate me, I can't get enough Cold love, hot blood" Pretty much going from one "hook-up" to another. IMO that is supported by this part aswell: "Oh, and I am done dancing to alarm bells No wonder my ears are still ringing And I am done fighting off change No wonder my arms are still swinging" Alarm Bells could literally mean Phone notifications. Theres a few more examples but man I loved that theory a lot.

Aqua Regia is a mix of Nitric Acid and Hydrochloric Acid. When the 2 are mixed they become a very toxic acid capable of dissolving Gold. The song is about 2 toxic people coming together and destroying everything around them when they are together, at least my interpretation. I really enjoy that you are going through the entirety of Take Me Back To Eden, however, not to spoil anything for you, you need to listen to the One and Two LP’s, Sundowning, and This Place will Become your Tomb before listening to the last song on TMBTE…. It’s a journey, and a culmination of that journey, and without listening to those songs, you may not be able to appreciate it in its grand finale…. 🖤Worship🖤

Euclid is the end of the trilogy, if I were to suggest something would be to leave that song till the end of your journey of the whole thing. Although not realistic, it would be so cool. My daughter introduced ST to me with THE SUMMONING, and i was completely hooked. It has been ages since i have heard an album that I could just put on and listen all the way through. It is so nice and refreshing to have a band that blends genres and still make sure you get chills by the lyrics. Every song on this album I would say this is my favorite, lol, so I understand that logic 😂 But the lyricism in these songs will just blow most people away if they go back and take the time to listen to their older albums and understand what Vessel's dream was about and why he has made the songs he has. This album dropped on my birthday May 19th, and my daughter introduced me to Sleep Token And I have to say it was probably one of the best birthday presents I've had in many many years. Since then I have devoured this album, and have gone back through their Sundowning and TPWBYT albums and I have to say that they are all unique in their own ways yet tied together at the same time lol 😂 Never too old for good music! Lore with Sleep Token nerd: Vessel is now valuing himself very highly and sees his love as "Gold". The beginning talks about how is looking for a lover "animal calls/ mating call" and how he is still hurt from previous endeavor/relationships. "These days im a circuit board, integrated hardware you can not afford." this goes back to his self-value and this first part like I said can all be connected with Gold as gold is used commonly in circuit boards and is very reflective just like sounds off a wall (mating calls). As soon as a problem arises, rather than approaching it more compassionately/romantically, he is going into offence mode, ready to start a war, perhaps triggered by a past experience where he constantly felt he had to wage wars with his partner to have peace again. Quick to put down the roses and stop giving love so he can protect himself, but this time, he'll be attacking first so he doesn't get hurt first. I think the Mt.Olympus line leads to the Greek Gods which then leads to talking about his past with his God "Sleep". The chorus I think links the actual meaning of Aqua Regia which is a mixture that can melt GOLD/LOVE. (see where im getting at) This love causes happiness which is like "sugar on the blood cells, carbon on the brain", "Out of Eden's vices running through my veins" This I think links to his intamate connection with Sleep and how he let go of them and is now running out of love from them like a addiction. "Oh and I am done dancing to alarm bells, No wonder my ears are still ringing, And I am done fighting off change, No wonder my arms are still swinging" This I think can be a connection to Dark Signs with Vessel stating "And when we met I could see dark signs, Alarm bells in your eyes". Dark signs was not just about his lover but Sleep as well so I think this is 2 things with his current feelings as well as his past ones mixing together. (This is mix of my words and others)

You might be happy to know that everything Sleep Token writes is groove-heavy. Most of their catalog is in 4/4, so you’re listening to prog (most songs, anyway) and you’re able to nod your head to it. I understand the lore and the whole reason for the aesthetic, but Vessell is way too good at what he does to stay anonymous to most of his audience forever. For me, if he eventually came out and did interviews, finally gave some insight to how he writes music, it would make me an even happier fan.
