THE M3 TOURING. Fast Lap Nordschleife.

THE BMW M3 TOURING posted an official and notarised lap time of 7 min. 35.060 sec on the 20.832-kilometres / 12.9 miles Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit.
On the version of the track traditionally used for comparison purposes - which is 20.600 kilometres / 12.8 miles in length (it doesn’t include the straight at section T13) the time was 7 min. 30.300 sec.
BMW M3 Touring:
Fuel consumption weighted combined in l/100km: 10.3 (WLTP), CO2 emissions weighted combined in g/km: 235 (WLTP). Provisional values.
Official data on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. For newly type-tested vehicles since 01.01.2021, the official data no longer exist according to NEDC, but only according to WLTP. Judging how it's 15 seconds slower than M4 CSL on Cup 2 R, I'd guess this lap was done on PS4S tyres (Correction, it is on Cup 2, meaning the gap between this to CSL is still rather large) Also it's quicker than Model S Plaid, with less than half the hp

It's 15 seconds slower because it's not a freaking CSL, tires have nothing to do with it. It's heavier and less focused, as it's supposed to be. Do you really think they would attempt a hot lap like this on a regular summer tire?

@@MyRealName umm tires have everything to do with it lol. if you throw a xdrive on the track with cup2s you'll be surprised how close you get to that csl. if you truly dont think so you are smoking something. Theres a reason they ahve only done the laps with ps4s on the xdrive and normal comps

Really impressive driving and dynamics on show. Low centre of gravity and the driver hardly used the brakes. Sadly the economy is on its knees and most disposable income is gone so we will live vicariously through KZbinrs whilst we wait for macro market conditions to improve and funds for an M car or an AMG car to return.
