I solo with it and NEVER use the gun. I just run down, or drop grenade clusters after circling behind enemy lines. Last night I got an 8x kill doing this.

Game is just broken...it's still in some sort of Beta or Alpha testing phase, and people actually paid just to play the testing phases, when there are games in history where testing has been for free... Okey, a work college said that the open beta test was open for everyone, like it should, but I never knew about it nor managed to get on one...so I don't know.

Cool that you're trying out other stuff! Too bad this game is pure ass. I can't get past 1 hour in my 10 hr trial. I can't stand it. I have 250hrs in BFV, more than that in BF1 and prolly between 100-200 in each BF before that, all the way to 1942. Yet I can't get myself to keep 2042 open and join games. Idk if the gameplay model is just not for me anymore or the game is that bad. I think it's the latter.

The game is fundamentally broken, and "its only been out for 3 days chill" isn't an excuse, when a game releases it needs to release finished, not whatever broken pile of code this is. It's insulting that anyone at dice/EA even thought for a second that this was ok to release and the fact that people like you exist, people that defend trash like this, is exactly what is wrong with the gaming industry because people like you are the ones who tell dev teams and executives "yeah, it's ok to release broken, unfinished messes. It's ok to add season passes, shortcut bundles, overpriced dlc, etc" when I'm not driving I will look and try to link you to a steam review that explains everything wrong in depth. I don’t think it’s ok to release buggy games, I was extremely disappointed in cd project red and cyberpunk, but thanks for making a hasty generalization. Every single game released today is bugged to shit on launch. And blaming the devs is not the answer, if you want top blame anyone blame the executive money grabbers that would rather release a half polished game now then wait another year. Every developer in the gaming industry works endlessly to make their work solid, only to have it undermined by close-minded people like you who don’t see the bigger picture. If you want to spend 3 years working overtime on a game in a shit work environment like every game dev does, and then want to keep blaming devs, be my guest. Thats why most modern IFV packs a 25-30mm cannon....it is the sweet spot for ROF and firepower with enough HE filling. 40mm is too chunky. Same for warplanes, the eventual transition from 30cal, 50cal then to 30mm cannons. The ingame heavy machine probably has the same direct damage but the 30mm has the splash damage as well so you dont have to aim as precise...

yes and no. one most ifvs pack 20 to 35mm guns because of that reason but also the fact A) oerlikon is the main company for natos auto cannon arms and they mostly design and build those guns, but now them being owned by Rheinmetall they will most likely start development and production of larger arms, case in point the new german 5cm anti air cannon being design for drone warfare in mind. and B) for the russians atleast they used 23mm for their auto cannons, is because they wanted a gun to share the same round as their aircraft main weapon and as such was forced to use 23mm. the reason a larger gun isnt used is because well the need for a larger shell isnt that much of an important thing to change both production of current guns but also redesign both the armour that will use it but the logistics to support it. also the price. generally larger guns cost more and most IFVs and AFVs are stupidly expensive so might as well save a few million by no buying a not really needed more expensive gun.
