Such an uplifting and appropriate tune to signify the transition from Shabbos to carry us through the week. May we always live with the feeling of Shabbos.

Beautiful. Thank you to Debbie Friedman for this melody, now used world-wide in communities of all denominations.
@SlushPuppyyy9 жыл бұрын
Debbie Friedman only wrote the second half. The first half was written by Shlomo Carlebach.
@chayachoueka5229 жыл бұрын
+Moshe Schlussel No, first half is a Modzitzer Niggun composed by the modzitaer Rebbe for "veyiten lecha" - see script above - though R' Carlebach sang a lot of modzitz.
@BMGraham9 жыл бұрын
+Chaya Choueka Thanks for that, someone else I know said it was Carlebach, I didn't think it was either. I first heard it at Moshav Modiin for Havdalah in 2001 when we were visiting, sung by someone whom I think was originally in the Diaspora Yeshiva Band, as far as I know they sung it every week, very nice. We were all outside and it was an amazing feeling.
@414rl9 жыл бұрын
+Barry Graham moshav modiin is the moshav that bases their teachings around Rabbi Carlebach so they were using the tune that carelbach used usually, but with that said carlebach sang the niggun but did not compose it

Romans chapter 11 is YAHweh's only way to salvation. ALL Jews and christians must be born again and GRAFTED into YAHweh's born again Israel to be saved. YAHweh saves Israel ONLY. There are no Jews or christians in YAHweh's born again Israel. WHEN a Jew or christian is born again and grafted into YAHweh's anointed Israel they cease from being Jews and christians. John 3: 1- 8. John 1: 12- 13. 1John 3: 9.

I just watched and listened to this amazing masterpiece again after more than a year of not listening to music after being in mourning. I didn't expect to be brought almost to tears but I was as I watched crowds with no social distancing and no masks, and no cares. I saw "Together Again" at the top right of the video. With Hashem's help may we all be together again soon.

2 years later I watched it again, Baruch Hashem for the end of social distancing and masks.

A beautiful rendition of Havdalah, I've never heard such a thrilling version of the blessings. But how could communities around the world celebrate it simultaneously, given time differences? the first three stars are not seen at the same time in Buenos Aires and the Five Towns.

Maybe they did maybe they edited??

It was a campaign to hold havallah celebrations all over the world for the same shabbat. So while it was the same evening, these events were held at differing times. Hence why in the singing they don't use God's name but instead say HaShem.
