@@Danisnotonfore It wasn't selling out and made a very low profit-it was grossing around $550k/week (for reference Wicked has grossed nearly $3 mil in a week). I think if the book was reworked, a revival would do very well on broadway right now.

I will admit that the first time I listened to this cd I wasn't sure about the show, but the more times I listened to it the more I loved it! I am particularly fond of Shindle's parts. I think this version of the song is just horrible (even if Kate Shindle is amazing). The other song on the Live album "Bonnie, Clyde and a whole lotta jazz" sounds so much better and the lyrics are much more natural. Also I think it's a but of a taste thing, I don't know why but I adore the songs he produced for "Bonnie and Clyde" and "The Count of Monte Cristo".
