You can also double jump when his eyes glow, X will also miss and i find it easier to do than dodging.

Didn't had the dog so I used to crow instead (saved him for phase 3), also if you stick close to him he will mostly do the 2 slashes or slash and jump shockwave. He will rarely use the X attach or the wave (which can be double on phase 3).

In my experience mostly spirits are suck against bosses. They do a little damage. The best spirits for me beating all tough enemies and bosses are "headless guardian" Or "I forgot its name". These Two spirits ability give you a blocking counter. If you are used to using parry mechanic in any action game. You can lay big damage every you do counter and you can neutralize all annoying attack. Reverse it as your advantage like Url' range attacks, wave and cross.

This guy is insane. I just cannot beat him. I can get him to 3rd phase 1/3 health but by then I'm either out of heals or he's attacking so fast I can't heal and I just die.

@@SCAWAKENINGshao I would say Ulv is on par with some of the harder Hollow Knight bosses (at least for me). Not Radiance bullethell hard, no, but he's going to rough you up for awhile. His damage is brutal, he is by far the fastest boss with the quickest and most acrobatic movements and can practically instantly punish you no matter where you are in the room no matter where he is. It's very hard to heal in his 2nd phase and almost impossible to heal in his 3rd.. Having just beat the final boss - I would say Ulv gave me the hardest time.

Hi mathias, sorry for late reply. that wolf is on the ruined castle where julius stay. You can try to use fallen archer and elder crypt keeper for the exchange those skills is super strong. but you need to hit him closely

I tried to go to left where you can find julius boss area. Bcos Im not familiar with those enemies and I find they are very hard, even centaur arrow can deal huge dmg. I only explored halfway and go back to the tower where Ulv dwells

You may want to try finding missing items that increased your HP, you can check on this video on getting all items kzbin.info/www/bejne/qH3OmIlqiatjoc0. But if you already get them all, you don't have any choice to fight this guy no matter what it takes.

Annoyingly hard boss. Sucks when you don't have the necessary reaction time. You can't get good and kind of have to memorize the second phase. But the jumping dodge helps. Going to look around for other stuff I missed for now. Maybe it will work later. Besides hiccups like this it's a great game.

Yeah, sometimes parry is good as well. It's just you need to press it at the right time. I don't know if I made new video on Ulv NG+, but seems last time I tried using parry on NG+ as well.

fvck i spent 3hrs on this boss alone.and i still cant defeat him. i cant dodge the x attacks 😭 but other attacks are ez pz Edit: Im done! get more hp guys 🤣 that's what got me but here was my strat for him 1st phase - I used cliffside hamlet and dark executioner when he's not near me + umbral knight everytime he do the jump move since he have slow recover time with that move (I find cliffside hamlet more useful than other spirit, he have low cooldown but good dmg even at low lvl) on 2nd and 3rd phase, I used Western merchant (I already have this at lv5) i know the crow can do him a lot of dmg even from afar as long as I avoid his attack BUT i try not to be too far as it's difficult too avoid the slash attack even if I know its coming 🤣 and when Im near him I use Silva ult or combo of umbral knight I had a hard time with this guy at first, so I decided to get more hp and some relics that I dont have
