This is the song that got me into UTA before Apex released. "Cleanse the Bloodlines" would be an amazing follow-up. For the growling, some people refer to the lower pitches as Ogre with a low "O" and the higher as Goblins with an "A". Another reviewer described the composition as the drummer being the bedrock, the guitars and bass as the ocean, and the vocals as the boat that is skimming along the waves.

They were the winners in the category of Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year in the 2021 Juno Awards. The Juno Awards are kind of the Canadian equivalent of the USA Grammy Awards. Metal bands just don't get the coverage that other kinds of music does so it can be hard to learn about new bands. The internet is changing that.

Great reaction! Unleash the Archers is one of the best bands ever for me, i can suggest some other songs if you like this music.They are amazing technically skills, they play very well in their instruments, the songwriting and sounding all are insane. Great list, i completely agree about The Wind That Shapes The Land. It's not the best reaction song necessarily, it's long and has multiple build up sections, but it's my favorite of theirs no question. Time Stands Still is a better reaction song

Canadian but they do Mad Max justice! The original movie was filmed near me back then - South Oz. Almost made an unscheduled appearance in it when I took a wrong turn. LOL!... Nightrider! @sevismo reacts: Hey bro! Nice to see you reacting to UTA again! As for the harsh vocals, in Awakening, that was Grant Truesdell, the rhythm guitarist. Here, you do hear both Grant and the bassist Niko doing growling, both the deep growls on the low end, and the higher fry growls from Grant. Brittney herself does not growl, sadly, as she is a straight belter, and growling can damage a vocalist's instrument. As for other UTA songs, I like a few songs some reactors never react to, like False Walls, The Coward's Way, The Matriarch, and Ten Thousand Against One. On the album Abyss, I highly recommend reacting to Abyss, Soulbound, and UTA's magnum opus, The Wind That Shapes The Land -- which, if you like changes and seemingly contradictory musical phrasing, The Wind That Shapes The Land has got some beautiful changes and little tidbits in it that I think you'll like. And if you react to Apex, it's got a very heavy Iron Maiden feel to it, given the style of playing Iron Maiden has in songs like Hallowed Be Thy Name. As for Tonight We Ride, this was filmed in the US, in the state of Nevada, during a festival here called "Burning Man," which is a sci-fi, post-apocalyptic themed festival -- hence the video looking like Mad Max.

They performed this song on their last tour in 2021. Even after the years since this song release, Britt can still hit these notes live. Awesome band, awesome folks, incredible talent. They have been my favourite band for over a decade, since shortly after the release of their second album.

I hope you take the time to listen to the entire Apex album from beginning to end (its a concept album that tells a story) and then follow it up with the Abyss album which is a sequel to Apex. I know you want to reserve some of this for reaction videos, but the two albums together are better than anything that's come out of Hollywood in recent years. Great stories, great sounds. Just great.
