EVO tournament was hella hype, daigo, infiltration, mago, tokido, fuudo, haitani, uryo, poongko, gamerbee, PR balrog, Bonchan.. its been 10 years and I still remember everything like it was yesterday.. @helloman36764 жыл бұрын
Because SF4 is gimmicky and flashy, whereas SF5 is solid and fundamentals. People like flashy stuff but as a game SF5 is the most balance fighting game ever made. Like 3rd strike, it has some of the greatest highlights of all time but compared to SFIV, it falls short of balance and solid fundamentals. Same thing can be said about 4 and 5. SFV looks boring but it will be better for the long terms of SF Franchise. Just look at how many young new champions we have been getting. Punk, Fujimura ect. But the greatest thing about SFV is the returning of old legends. Sako, Haitani, Ricky Ortiz, Tokido ect. All the pros agreed on one thing, SFV is what a street fighter game should be. Simple, Barebones with a little flash.

Loved this game to death when it came out, the only thing I found shit about it was the music lol the new music sucked IMO specially (at the time, but now it's nostaligic so I love it! :D) the "Indestructible" k-pop main theme song. It was so bad lol that they got rid of it after a while. Ohh and also Seth was such a shit underwhelming character for a boss. Apart from that everything was awesome. Then Madcatz came along and gave us the TE stick. Perfect arcade parts at home for pretty much the first time that you could just buy out of a shop.

Feel exactly the same about SFIV iterations. I kinda have a grudge with its completely gimmicky OST, finding the OG remixed tracks being way too generic (altough I can totally see they were going for a retro comeback/tribute way of thinking). However, I believe this is my only complaint about this game (I can even tolerate Seth as the final Boss, LOL). Everything else about this game was just tuned to perfection, and the wait was totally worth it. My overall feeling with this game is that of being thankful to it. It was such a breeze to have a competitive action packed vibrant fighting game in an era where games got used to be plain and repetitive, both on gameplay and on aesthetics design.

Excellent coverage of "The SFIV saga". I totally understand there is a ton to cover, due to the variations in gameplay, structure, and design. IV to me definitely brought back that energy the series was missing. After Third Strike, it felt like an honest finality, similar to Garou Mark of the Wolves. In a sense Capcom & SNK still inspire one another. Even though both of their titles were a send off. Not knowing if there would be any more. I do love the IV saga. However I miss the ability to access unlockable art, cinematics, and music. Which is what the original IV contained. It was weird how all of that was gone after each iteration. It is a neat concept giving us fans more access to the game. Exploring the journey, it's growth, and evolution. I cannot wait to see what you cover next.

Yeah, I still think snubbing the xbox was a bad idea though.. but then I guess Sony was bankrolling it at that point

and capcom f***ed it up again with their never ending revision of the game til now... and the lazy attempt to use the same art style used in SFxT

SF IV may have saved it before but it's going to need another saving after SF V

Capcom should use SF4 engine and develop (CvS2) using capcom characters only. Capcom Fighting Circuit, by bringing Darkstalkers series / CPS1 series characters.

I would have never been an akuma main in every sf nor ever played sf if it weren't for my Father back in 1999 when he was 15 and put in coins and clicked on the interesting red haired demon I am truly filled with joy and then playing street fighter 3rd strike in 2010

SF IV didn't save the franchise, it wasn't dead, there's never been such a thing as a bad Street Fighter game, people just had moved on from arcade games. I remember the day it was announced vividly, the artsy battle of Ryu and Ken in the trailer and all the hype. Being a fighting game fan of old, it was a beautiful experience. I have great memories of this game, sadly I'm really turned off by the abuse of DLC by Capcom, which is something you should have addressed in this video, as many of the downloadable skins were already in the disc.

Well SF5 was kind of bad.
@javierortiz824 жыл бұрын
@@Ineedgames SF5 is not bad, it had a terrible launch and it paid the price for it. The game is balanced, rewards skill and is pretty fun. But, then again, the DLC is a turn off, they turned it into "Chun Li's wardrobe simulator". I want my fighting games complete at launch, is that much to ask for?

@@javierortiz82 There was no new Street Fighter game from 2002-07. The series was dead before IV revived it.

Only thing I hate about SF4 and SFV is that Sean isn't a playable character in each game. Capcom just ruined him as a character instead...

It's The" focus attack + cancel "which saved the franchise.
