For those who are trying really hard to recall the intro piece. It's Gates of Delirium by Yes , many a times the whole DT team has mentioned the name YES of how the songs have impacted their music. Love You Yes. Love You Jordan. One of the greatest keyboardist. 💓

I get the same vibe watching Jordan Rudess talk as I do watching interviews with Neil Peart. People who are full of wisdom and extremely eloquent, but do not exhibit one iota of ego or vanity despite their virtuosity, and that is what puts them in the very highest echelons of musicianship.

Feels like I've come across a hidden gem of a video. Thanks RenderEdgeMedia for doing this, and of course @JordanRudessKeys for the insightful and entertaining explanations. Especially 5:50-7:16. I could just picture he and JP going back and forth with riffs/movements like that and adding on those unique endings to the riffs and cool transitions. I always smile trying to learn those moments on guitar. I wish that particular section the interview would have been expanded on, but the interviewer went immediately to "Alright that's a BAND composition, what do you do on your own??" I was like dang, wanted to hear more about that! It's all good though, really enjoyed this. Side note: the way JR says "hands" at 15:30 sounds so musical.😅Amazing video, thank you!

Thanks for the kind words. Your suggestion about diving deeper into the band compositions would have been good - I can’t explain why I asked what I did (too long ago to recall my mindset), but since he was giving a solo concert in support of his latest album, I probably wanted to give Jordan more chances to plug it.

@@RenderEdgeMedia Totally understandable! Like you said, it was during his solo concert tour. Wish I would've attended that! Loved the video, great work.

Oh man, Elliot needs to let Jordan finish a sentence. I love the fact that he’s being interviewed but I have to hear his full thought. He gets cut off way too often in this video 2:07

Had to think for a bit as 9:20 sounded so familiar. I know it was just a coincidence (I think?), but scrambling around the Final Fantasy 8 soundtrack, I realized it sounded a bit like the part around 26 seconds into "Find Your War": kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKiocqVnbbGegck
