Thanks for the update on which tools produced least dust. I was watching and watching thinking, nasty itchy job, then thought the air seemed to be staying clear and little ppe. Useful findings although the next time I need Celotex I want someone else to do it 😀🤔😜😜

Most impressive thing: lack if dust from the Mafell circular saw, not even the fully enclosed track saw. If my children embark on big home renovation jobs, I might justify Mafell but, for now, I have a new corded Makita with an accessory to fit on Makita track for just this sort of job - don't need mitre saw anymore. Shame my old 290mm Makita won't take the attachment

Interesting that Mafell seem quite content with 18v whilst others are offering 36,40 and 54 volt.

got both as well, mainly dewalt and hikoki for the rest but these expensive tools are money safers, hardhly every have to carry arround my large chopsaw or table saw. Perfect for roofing. Wished the KS80 was cordless though. I too have many chargers and batteries but I feel I have the best for my line with that.
@blowfeld382 жыл бұрын
They are the pinnacle and you're right about batteries and different platforms. I like both dewalt and hikoki brands, got a few dewalt bits myself, no hikoki, yet....

Even though this video is 2 years old and the tools even older this is still one of the demos out there . The onky one that confirms the kss60 can be used on normal mafell rails . Anyone know if it fits the flexi rails or is it just for the 40 ?

Funny enough, Mafell JUST announced the P2-18 (or P2S-18), the 18V CAS version of their P1CC. They may have updated the motor, but I'm not sure. Takes the same thicker jigsaw blades as the P1CC!

I am in the US where track saws are not popular compared to table saw, nevertheless I like the idea of a track saw especially for sheet stock. Be honest what is the best track saw you have seen and why. I am almost cordless overall and will go for a battery track saw.
@blowfeld382 жыл бұрын
I have owned 2, the festool TS 75 and the Mafell MT55 18v and the Mafell, even being battery powered is easily as wonderful as the TS but the rails are 100x better, the dust extraction is better, the blade change is easier and the score function is a game changer, Mafell, all day every day 👌

@@blowfeld38 do you know if the Matabo 8 amp hour fits this saw and doesn't get in the way when cutting at 45°? Doe this saw have electric break so when you let go off the trigger the blade stop spinning?

@@blowfeld38 Listen I just picked up the new Mafell MT55 with 1 battery 8 amp hour and charger Matabo. I played with it even though I don't have a track yet. Thanks for your insights I appreciate the video and your help.

Damn, how many pipes can one run through a beam before it loses structural integrity? Also, you gotta love all the different brand battery chargers hahaha.
@blowfeld382 жыл бұрын
It is a secondary beam and all the pipes were drilled in parallel therefore reducing the 'damage'. As for the batteries, if you want the best kit you need to go across many platforms as not one stable has all the stallions 😉 Thanks for commenting amigo 👍

@@blowfeld38 didn’t think it was unsafe or anything. I’m sure you know what you’re doing. I think the manufacturers need some regulations on their ass like with the phone manufacturers having to go all USB-C.
