I thank you, Julian. I was a bit sceptical at the beginning, but the more I worked with the CMI V the more it pulled me into this, well, this magic of the machine.

CMI V gives an old but wonderful perspective into sequencer. The one where you can control the sound based on home note. This art has been lost as technology got further and the flexibility of controlling everything from the root note is now a rare occurence

Thank you Johnny! I´m happy you like it. I tried to, well, reproduce a bit of my own feeling of magic, when I first had the chance to touch this machine back in the days. Enjoy your day! Rolf from dev.rofilm-media.net

I am only 15 minutes on my way with the video and already are very enthousiastic what you are explaining here. SO much more inside in syntheses and sound exploring then most of the other vid's I come across. You deserve a zillion followers. I was allready thinking about to getting the Arturia CMI V becausse of the anosthonishing sounds I heared in other vids, but with you your vid going deeper into the sampler synth I really got enthousiastic. Thanks for your effort to explain all this and would be great to see another in depth vid about the CMI. Cheers.

Thank you, Tom! I´m happy, that I´ve shed a bit of light at some details, and that you like my explanations! Thank you! More vids about the matter? Well, there will surely be some. I´m a bit under presure at the moment (seriously ill wife, and things like that). But I´ll continue producing vids like this one in while again. Enjoy your day! Rolf

@@rofilmmedia1 Hello Rolf, I am sorry to hear about your wife. I hope things will be better soon for the both of you. First time ever i volunteerly donated for a free video, but your vid on how to use the sampler and the time synth of the CMI (and the extra explanations) was totally worth it.

omg thank you so much you are AMAZING. This video really helped me understand additive synthesis more and also exactly how the sampler and time synth work together and compliment each other. I really hope you do some more arturia stuff like Pigments or Synclavier. Really excited to check out your FM workshop too. Bless you sir.

Hello Brady! Thank you for your nice words. I´m glad i could help a bit. And, yes, I´m going to produce equivalent videos about the other arturia synths - but it won´t be "freeware". Arturia doesn´t pay me, I have to buy all the synths as anybody else - and I make my living producing tutorials. So - some will be freeware, some won´t. The Arturia videos won´t. Enjoy your day, stay healthy and have always a good mood in these crazy time! Rolf

@@bsbazzman Hello Brady! There will be short introducing videos to all future donationware productions, whether here on this channel, or on "VSTs in-depth". And there already are succh short "showcase" videos concerning the existing donationware videos on both channels. Getting those videos is quite easy: Just click the "Donate" link in the comments below the trailer video of your choce. There are videos concerning FM synthesis (theory and practical examples), concerning certain VST (e.g. Bazille, Zebra, Blarg etc.), and videos concerning modular synthesis (Softube Modular, Voltage Modular, VCV Rack, modular synthesdis in general etc.), and there is a series of videos about granular synthesis and granular sound design. By the way: the easiest way to communicate and to talk about questions you may have is using my email: rofilm@seznam.cz. Thank you again for your nice - and very motivating - words. Keep it up! Rolf

I love this synth! It is quite easy to make it sound terrible but on the other hand it gives a unique approach to sample based synthesis that can lead to really great results. Also the bit reduction algorithm sounds lovely and crispy. - Thanks for the sub to my channel as well!
