Ma'am could you explain That when Along x axis , how you proceeded?

When a given vector is located only in a single direction (x or y) you should multiply with that unit vector (i or j) No need to take components

Sum of the components along x axis + sum of the components along the y axis. Because in the given question not only one vector .

When vector makes an angle with horizontal direction then component along that direction is cos.when it makes angle with vertical then the component along y is cos I hope it is clear your doubt
