In this weeks video we talk about MAGNUS STINGER broadheads and why cut on contact style broadheads become so popular lately. MAGUS is an AMERICAN MADE broadhead company thats been producing some of the highest quality archery products for over 30 YEARS! Magnus broadheads provide amazing quality, while using some of the best steel plus it won’t kill your wallet! I was able to purchase mine for around $37 for a 3 pack! In this video I wanted to talk about some of the old broadheads I have used in past. Plus giving a detailed overview on why I switched to the MAGNUS STINGER. My overall experience on these broadheads were extremely impressed almost immediately after unboxing them and once I shot them for a couple days I instantly knew why people love shooting these cut on contact style of broadheads and I truly do believe you will love them too! If you have been tossing around the idea of purchasing them or been thinking about switching to cut on contact broadheads I would HIGHLY recommend you trying them out! You won’t be disappointed!
Don’t forget to like comment and subscribe and I’ll see you guys next week for more content!

Just remember this archers, mechanical broadheads were an answer to a Compound Bow problem, they were not an answer to a Broadhead problem. Fixed blade broadheads have worked better and will always work better than Mechanicals.

Logic and common sense shows reusable fixed blade are the best choice. Even some thin blade changeable blade heads can be resharpened fairly easily. For over 50 years I’ve used fixed blade heads from the Bear Razor to now the Magnus Black Hornets serrated with bleeder for the 5-6 years. Never failed me. I only shoot 62#’s with a 420 grain finished weight arrow with almost 13% foc. Not much FOC by heavy the heavy arrows crowd. Guessing 95% of my deer and antelope hits are pass thru hits. On pigs above 150#’s I usually don’t get pass thru but that’s ok because the lighted nocks help me find them lol. Enjoyed your video here. GOOD LUCK Mr. 👍👍👍👍👍👀👀

I loved shooting my exodus heads, however I really like how the magnus heads fly. Plus i wanted to get into shooting two blades for the single bevel, but i didn’t want to drop $$ big money and not like how they fly. Overall both are amazing heads in my opinion just up to you on what you prefer!

Shoot the same heads for my bow and my daughters crossbow. Just got a doe at 40. Broke a rib going in and out and split the leg bone and still went about 15 yards past the deer.

They're inexpensive, fly true, and will kill anything in NA. I've been using magnus since the mid 90's. That long head with the tanto tip will penetrate better. It's good to see people giving these BH's the advertisement they've always deserved.

I have been shooting a 370-grain arrow for well over 100 Big Game Kills including Moose, Elk, Deer, and Bear. I shoot the same Broadhead and have since 1986 or so. With that head, you just don't need the weight. Right now, I'm shooting 57 pounds 370-Grains at 275- FPS. I wouldn't give up the speed for the weight. There is way more to the game than what happens when the arrow hits them. We do want that to be the best it can be, but speed definitely helps us end up in the right spot.

Hey guys I've shot Magnus for years I shoot buzz cuts and stingers in my recurves and compounds I'm using black hornets now in the compounds very tough heads if your bow is properly tuned they fly perfect

So far I am extremely impressed with Magnus. I definitely thought about shooting black hornets but I felt more comfortable with the stingers. However I am thinking about buying a set of the black hornets and putting them head to head with the stinger to see how they will perform!

People get caught up on how fast their bow shoots.... speed doesnt kill, not like a well placed heavy arrow shot. Take your time and take a proper shot, rather than rushing and shooting the first shot that you "think" you have.

Im looking to go heavy on my arrows as well these past few weeks I have been slowly buying stuff for heavier arrows. I ended up going sirius archery vulcans and havent shot them yet ... still waiting on parts to come. I am thinking about the stinger buzzcuts. I will be going down a rabbit hole for archery :)

I definitely gave heavy thought to the buzzcuts, I liked how small they were! Overall i just decided to go with the stingers because i thought it was closer size wise the to the ranch fairy broadheads. It’s what i would update to next! But i love shooting my heavy arrows they definitely PACK A PUNCH!

@@Take-emTv99 I spoke to Rf about it a while back around this time last year and he recommended me the buzzcuts because I am newer to the arrow tuning side and all that. I can see that they are closer to RF's. Yes they do. I think mine will be about 570 grains with a 16.25 foc.

Another major point so many have no idea to where to actually hit a deer for best results. Like a broadside from 20 ft. up or from a pop up blind. There’s no bone there. Learn the what “ bolar triangle” is and where. From a ground shot I do my best to aim slightly lower than where the lower third imaginary horizontal line is on the deer or antelope because nearly every deer will drop. On skittish deer I have even aimed at the bottom hairline on them because I knew they were going to drop. This is normally on 20 yard or less shots.

The qad head is a great head! And I have recommended it to many people! It is incredibly tough and sharp. However I really like the Magnus due to its shape and the overall build of it. I just trust it more if I hit a bone it’s gonna go through. But with the qad I fear that it could break a blade off and cause some issues. Overall I love both of them. They are great heads!

IMHO- 500-600gr with 16+% FOC should do you well. Unless you go to a 250lbs hog or a moose. My set up is about 525gr w/ 19.5% FOC and Ser Razors or Stingers. Only downfall is sharpening 8 sides per broadhead. But, as you said you can get them scary sharp with a stone & strop.Oh, I like RF too. Especially when he has Rocketman on. Those RADAR tests were stunning. Also, the Vital 'V'.

I shoot a Easton FMJ 5mm at a 350 spine, it’s 11.1 GPI and it’s 27.5 inches. The arrow is 305 for the arrow plus I shoot a 75 grain outsert and the broadheads are 125 grains. I’m not sure how much the 4 fletch arrow weight but overall that’s the build.
