Impossible for Travels With Sheila to even guesstimate the worth of 40 Classic Cars that sit in their own garages at Orchard Palace Hotel. Can you? Not really a "car" person, I had never even heard of some models let alone ever seen them.
This is just one of the Maharajah of Gondol's interests. Packards, Mercedes, Buick Ford, Rolls Royce, race cars, convertibles, including one from 1907. Psst....word to staff - there are fingerprints and smudges on some. Get to Work!! I was told that he "occasionally" takes one out for a spin. The lives of the Rich and Famous was becoming slightly depressing....

Good video in HD ! I suppose the RR- and Bentley cars are worth US-$ 40.000,- to US-$ 65.000,- each. Because You get Rolls-Royce 1969-1980 (from the majestic era of Rolls-Royce) in good running condition for about that price ! The older cars are useless junk-trash for moving because they might break easily only museum pieces. You never see them moving in Gondal, Rajkot or Ahmedabad. They are just standing like statues. Very good work for 2011 ! (source: mobile.de for the car prices) The Gondal Raja should sell them as long as he can to a museum in Bombay, Delhi, USA or Europe, because I think he is never driving the cars and never showing them in exhibition. They are still in good condition. And buy newer cars from that money that can be moved easily and are of some use for somebody.

@@SheilaSimkin: Hi Sheila, If you are fortunate enough to have some quality "Concurs" auto shows in your area, I suggest going to see( if you care to pay the admission, as they sometimes cost $40.00, and more!) some fine vintage cars. Pebble Beach hoststhe best in both quality and quantity, but I believe it may cost walk-ins $150.00 ,or more! Fortunately, you can see many Concours d' Elegance car shows online. Enjoy.
