I remember reading this in highschool because my school library had a few copies of the manga i didnt even know it was originally a light novel but i enjoyed it. As for what happened to kuklo Idk if it is in the light novel but after the story my headcanon for that is he became a drill sargent specifically for the use of 3D manuver gear since he became pretty good at using it and since its the military there will always be new recruits and especially for when the story takes place where 3D manuver gear would probably start being mass produced shortly after the story ends so the military would need a more experienced user to teach the new recruits how to use it. As for how he died i since i believe that he became a drill sargent he probably didnt die in battle and got to grow old with sharle but they both died of that plague that grisha cured since by then kuklo would be kinda old maybe mid to late 50s to early 60s though thats only my head canon

I don't think so. Considering how weird these titans are, these may be abnormals created by king fritz. There were titans outside the walls before Marley since King fritz had to justify the story. Consider how intelligent, strong, and terrifying these titans are compared to the average pure titan, I think it's more likely they were made the founding titans (king fritz) instead.

It’s purely head cannon but I want to imagine that king fritz specifically picked out violent and sadistic criminals among the population he moved to paradis to use as particularly frightening unique pure titans. In this hypothetical king fritz allowed them to maintain their violent tendencies they had as humans when transforming them into titans. Obviously he’d want titans that would scared the hell out of people to keep them from wanting to venture outside the walls.

This series is basically the Fallout tactics of AoT. It's not canon but the same time it still mention in the story like the ODM Origin gear, Sword Bamboo etc. It's hard to explained. I really like this being actually semi canon, some are canon like the character is real and entire story is real but how it was represented is different.

Any AoT prequel would have to end with "--and everyone got eaten by Titans", unless you're going back centuries to the very beginning. Doesn't feel like something I'd want to read.

I mean, I think it's pretty obvious what the deal is here. Kuklo and Sharle are very clearly Hannes' parents. He's got Kuklo's brown eyes and Sharle's blonde hair, and let's be real, Hannes does sorta look about the right age to be their kid directly. It's weird because I started writing this comment as a joke, and now I think I might've actually convinced myself a bit.
