@burnerjack015 жыл бұрын
Just remember: In every box of exercise equipment you'll find everything you need except dedication, motivation and consistency. Take a money saving tip: Push ups, planches, in all the variants, L-sits, pistol squats, sit ups, tricep extensions. All good, none of which require any equipment at all. Do all of them for an extended time to prove to yourself you'll stick with it. I already own some of the finest, most expensive clothes hangers known. Don't make the same mistake. Do all the free body weight stuff first, before you even think of buying equipment. And even then, just start with a yoga ball and a doorway chin up bar. As my dad used to say, "Save ya money, kid. You'll need it for other stuff."

Weighted calisthenics is the best imo
@rockyp39175 жыл бұрын
After 15 years of training with weights I realised that the functional strength required in your day to day movements is completely different than weight training. When I first started at age 14 I was training arms like everybody else until they reached 17 inches in 3 years. Then I focused on not being chicken legs and started training legs hard every second workout. Now I think that the Core is the key part of all this equation and it doesn't matter how big you are if your core is weak. There will always be equipment and tools to move heavy objects at work or home so you don't need to be Superman strong. All you need is to feel pain free and great in your body. That's why Calisthenics is the best.

I have a friend that is 16 and he started watching your vids when he was almost 16 and now he is like a body builder and he can do all this stuff.

I love how in this video, the focus on exercises that contribute to basic core strength, were mostly exercises that require low impact to the floor, and could mostly be done from a stationary position. In a lot of your videos, you've incorporated burpees, mountain climbers, etc into the workout. I live in an apartment complex where it's literally in my lease that we have to be mindful of noise, or be fined, and it explicitly outlines exercise as one of the items. The floors are thin enough that you can hear people simply walking above you, and the walls are thin enough that I can hear regular-volume conversations from my neighbor... Soooo...exercises like burpees would totally get me fined, due to my downstairs neighbor. For now, I've just been hitting the gym for these parts of the workout, but have been piecing together exercises like these that I can use to add a morning workout to my routine, that I can do straight from my apartment.

People always say if they had 3 wishes they would use them for money, fame or super powers. Personally, I’d wish for my spine to be fully repaired, the determination to better my body and to never have another headache unless there is something genuinely wrong instead of my body just being a dick.
