18:04…OH MY GOSH! that’s the thing that hit the nail for me! beat for beat, i’m pretty sure most marvel heroes have to deal with more trauma and tribulation than the majority of DC heroes do. And it’s usually because of their superhero behavior rather than an origin explanation or side issue. Like for a lot of mutants, hulk, thing, their powers are a damn curse. Spiderman and cap got too much ti regret…like hell…

I kinda disagree with what you said of Superman. Clark Kent when he is in Smallville is more relatable as a human. Clark was raised by good people and turned out to be a good person. At the end of the day he knows he is an alien from Krypton but he always lets us know he is one of us . I always say if I could be best friends with any Superhero that it would be Superman.

The only comic panel that ever got me misty eyed was when Clark asks Jonathan Kent Sr. if he can still be his son after finding out he’s an alien. Then he says “You ARE my son.” Hug and scene. Maybe that isn’t relatable to everyone but I think every comic book nerd probably can relate to feeling of being an outsider and feeling misunderstood. The very thing that makes Clark different is also his strength. We hope that applies to us too. I know I’m rambling but I think people who can’t relate just haven’t lived much.

You are wrong about Both Superman and Thor. In reality Superman is more of a human and much more inspirational and relatable than Thor, Comics Thor loves humanity but he is all about wrath, fight, there are plenty of time when he went against humanity and decided to go on a killing spree.

Team DC over here all day. Love them both though. I always prefered to the OP levels and Narrative of DC. Never cared for the relatability of Marvel as i always gravitated more to the over the top characters of DC, especially Superman. Its probably due to my superiority complex that i adhere more to DC Great video bro

I think another good example is with spiderman. He perfectly captures the human vs god mentality when he fought thanos in the realm of death to save one girls life and succeed. There may have been much more impressive feats preformed in the dc universe but none that i know of have the power of such a moment because of rhat very factor.

Even Marvel magic side with characters like Dr. Strange. Even feel more relatable than DC magic based characters. Because magic is portrayed as science the world doesn't understand yet. While DC magic is portrayed as wacky as hell.

tbh idk why this is always the argument. to me, on either side, the heroes are both relatable and unrelatable at the same time. im not a billionaire that can get any girl like iron man. And im obviously not impervious to damage like superman. But ive noticed im more positive about things like superman. And im sarcastic like iron man. I dont unreasonably see super powers as a curse like marvel heroes. thats something i cant relate with at all. Where as, seeing it as a gift like in DC, i can relate to that. like idk. this argument never makes sense to me.

Superman is as human as they come. He is from Smallville, USA and he is the all American. He wants to get married and have children. He is part of the community as Clark Kent but he is also Superman.

It's simple, DC's heroes are Gods and their Universe is magic-based, Marvel's heroes are humans and their Universe is Cosmic-based EDIT: Thanos is not a mortal, he's a cosmic being and an aspect of Death, if not her "son" which makes their relationship even more creepy
