It's better to be confused than to accept something blindly without thinking about it. It's actually a good question. A lot of the scholar are giving their 'opinion' on these signs or just rehashing what scholars said in the past so that they can avoid any criticism. The truth is all the signs of the day of judgement, take place while their are muslims on the earth, otherwise what's the point of these signs if they believers don't benefit from it? Even the sign of a fire breaking out from Yemen has to happen when there are muslims... These signs have to interpreted in a modernistic manner, because most of them are taking place right now as we speak. AT the time of the prophet Saw). There weren't words for mobile phones, cars, missiles, planes.... So certain words had to be used, so a word like bird is used in one of the hadith, so is it a bird? or maybe a helicopter? or maybe a missile? The beast of the earth isn't an actual beast. The concept of a beast actually stamping people on the head is silly. I mean how long do you think it will take to stamp 7 billion people anyway? and what about all the new people who are born when the stamping takes place? and will 3 year olds and 5 year old's and 7 year old's be stamped as well? who are free from sin/accountability until they reach the age of maturity? The scholars of islam don't have the correct rational , very generic, one dimensional thinkers. If you have any other question's i'll be pleased to answer, and i'll try to do it within 3 months!

My understanding is that, according to the Quran, 'there is no compulsion in religion' so when the mahdi and isa are here, not everyone will follow islam. One of the reasons why scholars say that everyone will follow islam is that Isa will aboloish jizya (non muslim tax of protection) and all sincere christians will accept islam. Now because they say there will be no more jizya, they say that there will be no more war, because everyone will be muslim, but that's just an assumption. My opninion is, is that there will be no more war, but that doesn't mean that everyone will convert to islam. End of the day, what you just quoted means that there will be non believers, so the scholar has to change his opionon unless he thinks the hadith is weak?. And Allah knows best

Do they have brains? yes Will they have a chance to learn revelations of Allah, yes, but I'm not sure if even one of them wil accept islam, but what I do know is that they are all destined for hellfire, unless there is evidence to say otherwise. it's a very complex situation. Many of them will know their history or part of, and will embrace it.

There is a certain part in where one of the scholars is saying about the breeze that takes the soul away is not correct. I don't know which scholar is that and this whole mixing of the scholars lectures is getting a bit annoying. You break up the rhythm and there is nothing to verify who said what. I think you are misleading the people unintentionally.
