Midnight Oil is one of the tightest bands I have ever seen in concert; and I have seen many world class bands. I admire the message the band has conveyed over the years. I do think it is quite naive to think a musical group, even a very talented musical group, can change the inner heart of the worldly man! The very musically talented John Lennon was naive when he thought he could stop the then current war ( 1969 ) by "protesting" in bed for two weeks - his heart was in the right place even though his brain was disengaged. I am not saying musicians should stop protesting the paradigm, what I am saying is that they should not think a well played Gibson SG, along with a clever lyric, is going to change the ever popular decadent human mind set. Historically, there has only been one man who was able to change the damaged human heart; he was, however, executed by the Roman paradigm over two thousand years ago! By the time you make up your mind If ever you do I hear the drums of heaven too - Midnight Oil

I can’t stand Peter Garrett. He’s a used up politician that after failure in politics has decided to go back to try being his old self. Does he remember all the bad things he did as a politician? His betrayal of Kevin Rudd, and him voting in favour of uranium mining. I just can’t stand this hypocrite. He doesn’t belong in politics and no longer belongs in the Australian music industry.
