Love, love, love your soaps. Music leaves much to be desired with the same few notes over and over again. Had to turn sound off

Thank you, Emily! I just used the free music that came with iMovie. I'll look into getting better music.

Please, how do you make to maintain the fluid mixture so for a long time? Mine thickens before the end although the temperature of the mixture was realized around 32 °C and the fragrances were incorporated as late as possible. Thank you in advance a French admirer

Cher Vincent, Try this recipe: 50% lard, 25% olive oil, 25% coconut oil. (Use a lye calculator to figure the correct amounts of each ingredient.) If this doesn't stay fluid for you, I would suspect that your fragrance is causing acceleration. Consider using essential oils or a different fragrance. Hope this helps!

Hi there! Love the soap! Simply gorgeous! May I ask what you used to line your mold with?
@Nourishinghandmadebodycare6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Sure, I used the plastic dividers that came with the mold and then Glad Press and Seal. www.amazon.com/Glad-Pressn-Seal-Plastic-Food/dp/B0080IQPQW/ref=asc_df_B0080IQPQW/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198085753806&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=170390373339968053&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9028746&hvtargid=pla-319275998520&psc=1

Mahoney Limited - Nourishing Handmade Body Care Oh my goodness! I haven’t heard of press n seal in ages!! Lol Ok that makes sense now. I’ve seen quite a few soapers using some sort of plastic to seal their mold up in. That must be what they’re using. Is there a particular reason as to why you use dividers for this batch? Did you also use the bottom piece as well? Thank you for your patience and sharing with me 😊

What supplier and color did you use for the gold mica? I read the blog post but didn't see it there- wonderful by the way!

I think I got it from Brambleberry.

Beautiful!! What made you choose to add oat flour? I'm about to start making soaps for the first time and I've been watching a lot of videos but I've never seen anyone add that... does it make it more like marble??
@OmneyasWISH7 жыл бұрын
It is good for the skin
@Nourishinghandmadebodycare6 жыл бұрын
Cynthia, I add the oat flour because its soothing for the skin. It also adds light exfoliation to the bars.

can this be done with melt and pour instead of cold process cus i know it starts to harden pretty quickly
@Nourishinghandmadebodycare6 жыл бұрын
Carolina, I'm not sure. I haven't worked much with melt and pour. I bet you could make a similar design, though.
