When I was young, early 80’s, we would rent this from the video story almost on a weekly basis. I loved Kirk Douglas and James Mason’s voice was unforgettable. I as well liked Kirk D in the final countdown.

My mother loved this movie. I used to watch it with her when I was a little girl. We would go rent it from the local video store. We really enjoyed it.

I was lucky enough to meet Kirk Douglas once, and when I say met, I mean I actually got to talk to him and ask him questions. He was very easy to talk to, even though this was after his stroke maybe around the year 2000.

As I recall, this is the first and only Disney movie with prostitutes in it....at least I guess that is the profession of the two overdressed and overly made-up girls that Kirk Douglas is arm and arm with in one of the San Francisco scenes.
