People talk about Blade Runner or Matrix like sci fi classic movies but then forget the BEST one: Ghost in the shell.

Blade Runner is better than Matrix because it can become true , Matrix is 100% fiction , this will never be.

There would be no ghost in the shell without Blade Runner (which by the way owes a lot to the failed Dune project whose creative team was basically hired by R.Scott : the Dan O'bannon, HR Giger, Moebius etc ... same for star wars, alien et so many iconic sci-fi movies from the mid 70's to mid 80's) ... and obviously no Matrix without GITS 😄

well, some subs are not correct... for example around 3:12 : not "my bosses attacked me ", but "my bosses taught me". osowaru is the passive form of oshieru (teach). being attacked is osowareru

No, Solid State Society is the sequel to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig which is the sequel to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. And so the SAC movie timeline goes: The Laughing Man, Individual Eleven, Solid State Society. The other (or first) movie timeline goes: Ghost in the Shell (1995), Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (simply titled Innocence in Japan). Then there's the three manga volumes which is yet another continuity on its own and also the first.
