I wish Rick would have kept that scene in the film, sounds so creepy, i love H2 it's my favorite of the series.

I know, right?! Unfortunately Rick didn't have the final decision on a lot of these choices - it was his first feature and the producers were John Carpenter and Debra Hill. They had all the power.

They said the Rosenthal cut was terrible which is why Carpenter had to go back and reshoot and touch up scenes and make it scarier and more violent. This is the same Rosenthal that made the shitfest known as Halloween resurrection. Just like Carpenter said, Rick didn’t understand/have a good feeling for the material

I met him at H45, he's really nice! How did you manage to get an interview with him? I know there is a lot cut out of Halloween 2 including Michael killing a news producer and at the end of the movie, Laurie and Dr. Loomis are going down a stairwell with Michael probably not far behind!
