LIL Lucas You just make sure they’re in the same key as the melody. I suck at it, I don’t have an ear for it, I make vests & then get with my musical piano playing friend who tells me my 808s are off by a couple notes lmao. The easy way to do it is make your own melodies & just make sure your 808s are in the same place as the root notes, like Nick did here, but i almost always use samples so that sucks.
