Well I didn't saw it in the 70s but in 2000s, I'm a 2003 baby, I was like 5 or 6, when my parents bought Namu, and well I relly loved it, but the DVD was like grated from the many times that I repeat it XD, fortunately my parents found a second copy of it in the same exact store where they bought the first one! They were really lucky lol, Namu and Willy (who's real name was Keiko) were the orcas responsible of me beign very passionate about orcas ^_^, they're such incredible creatures and really smart :0. I saw Namu again yesterday night and I sensed my inner child wanting to come out of me lol, I was as excited as I was when I first saw the movie

Namu's a part of my childhood and I will always cherish him, along with Willy (Keiko)

And I would always get amazed of how BIG Namu was! When I was a lil girl, I would get really amazed of how BIG he was, I mean I was 5 or 6, so yeah he was really BIG for me, but even now he's still really BIG lol

Thanks to this movie, I knew of the existence of Orcas, but it was also thanks to Keiko but yeah ^u^

Namu wasn’t that big! Tilikum was the largest male orca in history. 12,600 pounds and 22 feet long. Namu was 21.4 feet long and 9,620 pounds. So there is a difference. Namu was a legendary whale though. He was the first orca whale to perform for the public. The first ever whale to perform for the public. Namu was taken to Seattle Marine Aquarium and he performed there. Namu was very friendly. He got a companion named Shamu. A female whale. She + Namu = Shamu. But Shamu didn’t like him, so she was bought by Seaworld. Namu died sadly at the age of eleven because of drowning.

I have the DVD movie of this and I really remember this and the scenes that are showing and killer whales orcas are really good but they are just unpredictable and they are like underestimated and not really underestimated besides orcas killer whales are really good with humans and sometimes they are really not very friendly but aggressive animals around humans and orcas killer whales are not really the kind of the type of animals that are really meant to be as good as for a pet or a aquatic animal for show and for as a pet to keep close around in the cage up area but keiko from free willy and namu the killer whale from my best friend namu the killer whale they are good with people of killer whales they have a few some of certain famous animals of orcas killer whales that have movie shows videos of all about them that makes them not the aggressive whales but namu was aggravated when there was some people shooting their gun and shooting at the killer whales and namu did jumping around up at the people who were shooting and they have shot and got the female killer whale that was shot by a gunshot at her and namu did not like it and he was upset and he messed with the people who were shooting at the killer whale I had seen it I had seen the video movie
