"The Power of Narrative" Conference
John Stauffer (Harvard professor, author, WSJ book reviewer) moderates a panel centered on the complex process from conception to sale of author Isabel Wilkerson's narrative non-fiction book The Warmth of Other Suns. Wilkerson's publishing team, Kate Medina (Random House Executive Editor), and London King (Random House Publicity Director) join her on the panel. These three take the audience on a journey through the processes that went into creating the book, from reporting methods, to publication, promotion and book tours.
Hosted by the College of Communication on April 29, 2011.

I am working on this book that turn out to be a system and it become 13 books, at first I think it was simple bur when I got started, it's so complex in detail, every thing had to be rewritten in term of Coded symbols. it's a challenges.

I almost quit listening because John Stauffer is incredibly difficult to listen to. His volume get extremely loud and then trails off...so it is very difficult to know where to set your volume. Forget about wearing headphones! I am not trying to be mean here, just trying to give some constructive criticism that maybe those around you may be afraid to let you know about yourself. I honestly wish I had more of that myself!

Yeah I have never made it through this because of him. In print, what he said probably would be eloquent, but he is painful to listen to. Wish her the best as a writer. Click
