The Making of 'Sky Full of Stars' by Coldplay and Avicii

Welcome to BeatMinds Deconstruction Vol. 8
In this format I will deconstruct the music production
of a specific Sound Track from famous Artists in Cubase 13.
Today we have a behind-the-scenes tutorial look at the hit song "Sky Full of Stars".
Avicii, along with Coldplay's Chris Martin, collaborated on this track which combines Avicii's signature EDM sound with Martin's heartfelt lyrics.
The song was created during their time in the studio together, with Avicii producing the instrumental and Martin providing the vocals.
The catchy melody and uplifting lyrics make "Sky Full of Stars" a fan favorite and a chart-topping hit.

Today, I'm going to deconstruct and reverse engineer this iconic song to show you the creative process behind it.

in the Style of Avicii and Coldplay.

Main lead not from Nexus. That metallic whistle is "Crispy Arp", factory preset in z3ta+ synth. Signature Avicii sound. It could be synthesized in any fm synth, triangle or sine wave with a little bit sync, fm modulated to pitch from white noise, vibrato 1/8t with attack

i believe in the drums there is a tom drum that gives it this bouncy rhythm in the drums similar to most festival progressive house drums. i only say this because i saw the stems before and i noticed that

The real arp preset in the drop from Nexus XP Hardstyle -> PL Blip Soft. The full stems containing 30 files leaked last year thanks to the community but unfortunately I don't think they are easily findable online.

Thanks for your comment. Its very unlikely to 100% match every sound perfectly as I do not know what sound he actually used. Its more about how each step was done. I tried my best to come as close as possible but i admit its not 100% sounding the same. Thanks for watching though!
