I don't know why people are so harsh on Yohan ..he still run below 10 seconds .. longitvity in athletics is very rare ..we should give credit to him because of still sprinting plus he is 2 nd fastest of all time

@@BriskyJam He's faster than Gay actually. They have the same time, but Yohan ran his 9.69 with a wind of -0.1 and Tyson had a positive wind of a perfect +2.0

Yohan is still a beast. He came back from a career ending injury and still can run sub 10. that takes insane work which is why Usain bolt nicknamed him the beast.

The problem is not Yohan. The problem is Jamaica and Jamaicans. On one hand Jamaica has not produced a competitive enough next generation, so Yohan keeps running. On the other hand , Jamaicans are expecting an equally good next generation when the previous generation had 3 of the all time 5 fastest men. Leave this man alone. He can do what ever he wants and run in any leagues making money. He has already made Jamaica proud.

If Usain Bolt wasn’t around. Yohan Blake would have the world record in the 100 and 200. He’s a world champion, and one of the only men to beat Usain during his prime in a meet of importance in the JA championships. Multiple relay golds, along with Olympic medals and the man to push Bolt to get back into prime form as a legit challenge in his prime. How Yohan Blake is viewed as anything but one of the greatest sprinters ever is a mystery. His body broke down early, which happens to many who run fast at young ages. Elite sprinters in their 30s is more normal now, but certainly not common in the history of elite sprinting and fast twitch sports.

Imo, I think Bolt was the one who pushed Blake to even further greatness. If it wasn't for Bolt, perhaps Blake wouldn't be quite as fast as he got to.
@Thesource24-f7q3 ай бұрын
Bolt was in his prime in 2012, but at trials bolt was injured. Blake beat a bolt who didn’t have a block clearance, struggling to run 9.86 with a +1.0 wind. Bolt jogged that time (9.87) in the semi’s in London. A month later.

He suffered a massive injury. It’s a miracle he came back from such an injury to still be run sub 10. But he’s struggling, and with all the scare tissues from the injury his legs won’t perform as they did before. The Jamaican crowd is a hard crowd to please, especially if we know you as an optimal and prime athlete, anything less Jamaicans will have a hard time accepting.
