I liked the fact that they used the same art from Green Day - Dookie album on the front cover of the plugin. Makes it feel and see Toontrack was thinking more 90's than previous versions.

Nolly and Feldman are def my two favorite producers/engineers. Their drum tones are unmatched. I can tell immediately when I hear a nolly mix or a John feldman mix.

Those early goldfinger, mest, story of the year, and the used albums were all so far ahead of their time with the mix and drum sounds and overall sound. Album after album Feldman just killed it and made a name for himself. All those bands and albums were so successful and a lot has to do with the John feldman signature sound. Till this day they still sound incredible and sound better than a lot of albums out today.

Hi! The Original Mix preset loads a Mixer without any added effects or processing within EZdrummer and Superior Drummer.

Is this same pack available without the cheesy stickers on the kit? Or better yet. Can toontrack finally come out with an expansion for “Real” Punk Rock? I would imagine a pack focused on the Southern California skate punk scene from the early 90’s would do really well. I usually program my own drum beats from scratch but after recently purchasing SD3 I am really struggling to reproduce a decent fast paced sounding hi-hat. So I am now looking for an expansion pack to provide the sound I am looking for. I’m sure I will eventually figure it out on my own, in time. I’m used to using several articulations and accents to make the hats sound more realistic. But none of my usual tricks seem to cut it in SD3. I’m not even sure if this pack would get me any closer. It might seem silly, but I refuse to have to look at a stupid “Pop Punk” sticker every time I go to use these drums.

Thanks for your feedback and suggestions. When using an EZX through Superior Drummer 3 you do not see the original graphics as they're made for EZdrummer 2. An EZX run through Superior Drummer 3 only has generic black drums.

What I meant was, just for the sake of having every angle covered with their product, It might have been better to have done this expansion focusing on the 80’s/early 90’s era of punk rock when the drums, tempo, aggression and production of most bands from those times sounded nothing like what u would hear on the top 40. I have no doubt that a Bill Stevenson kit, or a Derek Plouride kit, Or a Bomber or even a Smelly from NOFX kit would not only do well with the current toontrack customers. But would bring in many new customers too. Maybe they can do it like death & darkness and have 2 engineers split it. Like Ryan Greene& Donell Cameron? ... Naaaw.. They will probably just do another Metal one. They definitely don’t have enough metal expansions...

@@jeffTcorbin81 I know what you are saying. Punk has always been the hand-me-down little bro to metal... this goes back to the adoption of things like guitar amps like a Marshall jcm 800. Punk never gets the organization or attention metal does. But ... do we need more bedroom midi punk bands like there are so many modern metal “producers”? I believe Donnell is retired and Ryan made that pack for Reason that no one else could use / outdate format. I’m a drummer, I’m a punk drummer, Punk drums are just drums... it’s all how you play them, tune them and then mix them. I think you can strip down all the EQs and transient designers or whatever and mix any drum set into a punk drum set (if need be) Cheers :)
