Some interesting engineering going on there... you went to such efforts but it still has drums? And then when you start removing armor... well yeah it will get up to speed better... IDK... I think this could have been better thought out with a much better result. IIRC its about 50 MB of files.

Then again, there's less weight needed for the drums to stop if you remove some of the armor. Really, the vehicle would work better with a sequential manual to use lower gearing to slow it down too... idk if it still has the original drivetrain beyond the LS, or if it's been modified greatly.
