The Malay Capetown Wedding Ceremony

A "Malay" wedding in Cape Town of South Africa. Generally the Wedding of the Malay Cape is more or less the same as being practised in other parts of the Malay World. It will be festive, grand and celebratory affairs with many guests around. The marriage is solemnised during the akad nikah (solemnisation ceremony). And the highlight of the wedding is the bersanding (sitting-in-state ceremony), which is followed by a feast for family, friends and guests.
