Hi Siddharth! I religiously follow your shows, both Male Feminist and The Bombay Journey and I absolutely love them both. Just wanted to let you know that you are doing an awesome job! Please don't stop these series. There are very less good interview contents available in Indian internet space right now although there are thousands of channels spread across, mostly having the same superficial talks. Your shows and Unfiltered by Samdish are the ones which actually are trying to bring out the real conversations without the same set line of questions. I resonate so much with Sanya's experience of having no one saying anything even if they see something terribly wrong in broad daylight. I faced it myself while traveling by a local train when someone was constantly trying to grope me and people around me could see the visible discomfort in my face and still chose to turn a blind eye. It wasn't until I slapped that man and shouted that everyone's chauvinism suddenly came alive and they started abusing that man. Why so late? Why so timid? Why so apathetic? As a woman, all I can say is we would just need a space of mutual respect and co-existence from the gender counterpart. Both the parts together make this society and the world at large. Let's not make each others lives difficult for no reason.

Just a suggestion: please call some male celebrity too who is a feminist and talk to them about all this. So that men out there understand that it’s a guy who has to think like this. Also, we will get a lot of different perspectives from their end. Moreover, we can also understand how to educate men. Only then the society can change.

Love this conversation and both of you. You guys are so real and natural. These experiences Sanya talking about is something we all go through. I literally shaked when she tried to explain the incidents on the road and public transport. It's so painful even to recall them, but we go through that almost everyday in our lives. It's so inhuman. These things have become like "normal" in people's perception, which is disgusting! It's not our fault, we don't do anything wrong by taking a bus or driving on the road. It's just the uncivilized communities we should be ashamed of! 😢 Thank you for talking about these. Kudos to both of you ❤️

It happened with me first time when I was in 6th standard. A classmate touched me on my waist. I did report him, he got slapped. After that he left me alone, but he did assault this one girl later on. The first time I was flashed I was... in 3rd or 4th standard. Once when I was sleeping I did get touched by my uncle when I was in 6th standard on my chest. Looking and catcalling is so normal that I have stopped telling myself 'Be prepared.' Because my body is automatically prepared whenever I go out. I cant hit back because the guy may get angry and next time I go out of the house, he might stalk me and ....do what not. Angry men are VERY dangerous, slapping them in public place is ... a slap to their ego. What if the guy turns out to be some rich dude who gets me kidnapped or something? It has happned before with a girl that used to live in my neighbourhood. Maybe I am overthinking , but protecting myself is better than getting assaulted. Last time a man touched me without my consent was a year ago... I was 22 and he was my chemistry teacher. It took me a hell of a lot courage to tell my mom because...she's very conservative and strict. But when I told her, she didnt fire him, she just told me to sit a little distance away from him. 😐 These things are MOOOOREEE common than you think.

Every women would have been through eve teasing, getting wrongly touched that too in public places. Especially in high school and teenage days. These eveteasers think the girl will get scared and will not raise voice and it happens the same way. When I was going to early morning tutions or coming back from school in day light i have had experience of men touching my private parts, that too while i was cycling and they were walking. This is just one of many incidents. Many times it has happened in buses, trains, on a busy road. You will get shock of your life and you wouldn't be able to even react. Takes many days and months and years to come out of it. You start feeling disgusting about yourself without any fault of yours. It haunts me even now though I'm 40. Now I'm a mother of 2 girls and always worry about their safety😢

PMS is horrible, I have pre stress as well post depression..sometimes it's also during the periods.. pain is horrible..and sometimes when I am fortunate there would be no depression or stress..but pain is the constant.. About Eve teasing - so very well said - no single woman out there who has not been eve teased, eve teasing to bhot choti baat hoagayi, molested or touched inappropriately ahi I think 100% hoga..in my own home - there are four females and everybody while travelling through Mumbai locals face this on a regular basis - I am talking you're lucky if someone didn't try to ruin your day - but that's hardly the case. It is great to have celebrities talk about such things because it gives us confidence to fight - we are not alone in this. I am sure there are great men/boys around us - please help us out in need - don't be bystanders, we may not be able to voice it enough - but try and be there for us at least in public spaces.. private space ki to kya hi baat Kare..that's another fight altogether..

For some reason i am deeming this comment section safe enough to trauma dump. But i sooo relate to her when she says ki "us time panic mode aa jata hai bass", My incident was with a tutor who touched me inappropriately and i remember being so confused about it. He touched my inner thighs and other parts and I still feel disgusted by just thinking about it. I later got to know he has been doing that to many other girls. I mean one day while he was taking a test he sat all at a distance and then started watching porn on mute on his phone. A friend of mine who he had been sitting very close to, saw it and got very flustered. She quickly left the test and literally begged me to do the same. Creepy men are all around us 😢😢😢

As a man and Brahamachri According to me girls should be taught self defense and also They should keep a pistol with them "Unko chahiye Ki jab bhi koi unko car ko Follow kare bas pistol nikal ke car ke Bahar Hawa mein goli chala do tab inki Hawa tight ho jayegi. " Also Brahamacharya education should also be taught to everyone then only this can stop. 😊😊😊

This is a very wrong argument. Which woman is a Brahmachari?Every woman gets married here in India. But that doesn't mean they go around groping men. It's the basic right to live with dignity. Nothing to do with Brahmacharya. Your argument is just that you can only respect a fellow human if you are asexual. This is why sex Ed is important.
Only a True Muslim will be perfect because being a muslim men you are not even allowed to look at a women twice once is forgiven but the 2nd time it's a sin.
