@@sashak441 Communist China has a long history of acquiring the tech they want and need from beyond their own borders. And the propaganda value in making the world believe that they accomplished this with Chinese ingenuity using less money and weaker chips is worth their effort. This is par for the course when reviewing Chinese communist propaganda over the last several decades. Ingenuity has always been a core propaganda point used by the communist Chinese. The fact that the DeepSeek model was released right before American sanctions on China is a morale booster for the Chinese. The side effects of bringing Nvidia stock down in value 17% is also important to Chinese people. It makes them feel powerful in a time when there is economic chaos in communist China. And China is in recession due to the withdrawal, after COVID and post-COVID supply chain problems, of almost half of the three trillion dollar American investment in communist China. I used a VPN this weekend and set the server for Taiwan. There were a ton of communist Chinese websites extolling stories about the creator of DeepSeek and communist China's AI capabilities. The amount of propaganda was off the chart. But within the context of China's ongoing economic war with America, it can be chalked up as a moderate win for China this past week. All this being stated, the idea that DeepSeek has put forth is a good idea. And its relevance may have a large effect on how we view AI modeling going forward. It probably will. And that will have an effect on all American companies presently at the forefront of AI development. But, in reality, this is but one step at the beginning of a very long journey and the bends in the road are still mostly unknown. We may have a general idea of the direction of the road but each bend in the way is largely unknown ahead of us. DeepSeek is no more than one bend in the road and along the way of the journey.

Wow! My biggest thrill of my life is to learn that my Y-DNA on a straight paternal line is Chinese. Cao Cao has been identified as my ancestor. But tracing my recent ancestors, my surname is Zheng and my ancestral homeland is Chaosan, between Guandong and Fujian. Zhang Liang is the pride of the Chinese race.

It is not just the animal, it is the ecosystem. China's evolution is deep and profound. Beyond Mr Liang himself, you have to be mindful of his collaborative circles of professionals and the supportive work environment and state management, his education and family upbringing. The nurturing is truly deep. There are many Liangs in China. I believe there are many Liangs you can find in any part of the world if leaders put priority in educating their young and building them up with values and principles for the uplifting of their society. That's China.

The things that stand out in this video is that unlike most other developing countries, China invested heavily into its own talent and industry. They also hire back all the capable and talented Chinese engineers who are working in top companies from around the world so that those engineers can invest in China and the fact that the company specifically looked for recent grads instead of experienced engineers also shows good foresight and an understanding of the difference between taking someone else talent as well as their baggage vs molding your own. Unlike most other CEO's the guy wasn't an MBA but like all the great companies of the past it was a person who specialized in the field and had a deep understanding.

The United States currently maintains a GDP of $28 trillion, whereas China’s GDP is nearly $20 trillion. However, driven by rapid technological progress and highly efficient labor, China’s economic output per dollar invested is three times that of the U.S. This effectively translates to an equivalent GDP of $60 trillion-highlighting significant implications for the evolving global economic landscape and underscoring the need for strategic attention to this shifting balance.
