We all love George Strait! But, did you know there's someone helping him with all of those hits? Dean Dillon, who has written 62 of Strait's songs, recently traveled through SETX and I caught up with him about his songwriting success.

He collaborated with Hank on many many hits as well as his own hit songs that he wrote and were recorded by numerous Country Music stars and many were number one songs and top 10 songs . When I was first starting out as a Country radio DJ back in the late 70’s, I remember playing one of Dean’s earliest songs, which I really liked, called “Long Line Of Empties.” GOOD stuff! Ya gotta love that title!

Guess way my dad teach me though years. Why enjoy classic hits songs. George Strait, George Jones , Pam Tills lots great artist. And many others. Listen to Mark Chestnut songs.
