So here’s the second installment of “Sudrian Stories From Hell.” This is one of the darkest stories I’ve written to date, and I like how it turned out in the end. Next Saturday will be another Halloween video, though this one a bit different from previous ones. Such a tense story! One to have a character to take his life is heartbreaking and shocking! First Duncan got spooked by a ghost on the old iron bridge, and now by someone plunging from a cliff. Whatever will he be scared by next? I also wonder what the man meant by, “I loved him” too. BTW the use of Distant Tension really gives the video a more creepy feel.

Excellent story! It leaves you wanting to know about about the man in particular. I would love to see a follow up if you could. Maybe the mystery of his story and identity could solved. His line at the end answers a lot but creates a lot of questions at the same time.

Really good job on this one Rheneas!! I feel for the man, as I have had deep depression for so long, and have contemplated suicide multiple times over the past few years. I still wonder what happened to the man/boy he was referring to... It's a nice story, but I think having Duncan have a larger tie to the man, say an old driver or fireman or something, would've heightened it and explained his callousness, more than just the old bridge story again

That poor guy must've either had private issues or a death in his family. From when I heard "I loved him", it seems he had a son and he died sometime. Assuming his reaction to the news, the son probably died just a few hours before the man's own death, which is really tragic and depressing. Having his family lost TWO people in one day! : (

I can't say that I agree with unanswered questions being good, but I think the story here is that the man who jump loved another man. Back in the times of steam trains, that isn't a relationship that would have ever been approved of by society; perhaps his lover left, or refused to enter a secret relationship, or may have even been killed by others for being gay. In any case, it sounds as if the man who jumped couldn't live in a world where he couldn't live with the one he loved, so ended his own life.

Personally, I can hardly blame Duncan's attitude towards the story, after that trick played by his and Peter Sam's crew. Now, though, it seems like something all too real for the No. 6 engine of the Narrow Gauge Railway. While this story was excellent and the executed well played out, I have a feeling that Skarloey should've sounded angrier while snapping at Duncan. Heck, he should've _looked_ angrier. And how could Peter Sam's driver have seen anything down the ravine in that fog? Those are my only gripes here.

@@paramount3603 my theory is that humans have a sort of filter so the driver can’t see spirits but I think the engines can’t gain that kind of filter because they aren’t human so they see them.
