I’m curious about the dramatic drop of the lake level -was it natural (drought, lack of rain/snow melt) or man-made (water release through a dam)? Love how they repurposed the column forms to make a cement chute then further, to make the drains through the rock retention walls. The gardener in me cringing at the heavy equipment and rocks that were driven and dumped around the trees compacting the soil over their roots. Amazing engineering of ALL the retaining walls. Wonder how long this all took - think I counted at least 3 year of season changes. Would love to see the finished product!

How did you survive in cold weather with the house made of bamboo before ? Bamboo House is only good in South East Asia but not in China , Japan ! I love to sleep together with my siblings in bamboo house with roofs made of palm leaves , that made of my mother , I missed her much ! 🥺
