Every single piece of furniture in my home was second and third hand and also free, I picked them up slowly and refurbished them. Stripped them of colour and took them back to their original form. From my rugs which I did buy second hand but hung them on a line for a week while I hate a rug beater and wacked the heck out of them, then washed them and now everyone is asking where I got them from and how much. In total for all the rugs it cost me 15 English pounds. My couch and two chairs came from a yard sale 10 English pounds again I bought them and reupholstered them padded them back up new material and a new suite. The only things that are new are my mattress my cooker my fridge my microwave and my washing machine but all these items were bought so cheaply because they were damaged stock. Nothing wrong with them just been battered about so I bought them as a job lot and my brother completely restored them. People are far to quick to chuck something away when sometimes all these pieces need is a bit of TLC. I love what you did here your hard work paid off. I am curious though where is your kitchen ??

Great job, the final result looks amazing! For everyone saying you can’t renovate while renting, landlords are people too and not everyone wants to take care of refreshing the apartment! I would think the renovations of this scope were discussed with the landlord and done at the expense of the tenant, so it’s a win-win for both!

What a lovely space you have created! Well done. Where I live ( Australia) you are not allowed to do any painting, floors, electrical or renovation works to the home you are renting. I'm glad you can to make your home nicer.

Hola l imagine that he makes a deal whit the owner, and what the boy spent and his work will be deducted,it's true there are,places that nothing is allowed😊🇲🇽
@cbisme64142 жыл бұрын
@@adrianahortenciajimenez1696 that's true, if you approach the owner and do the work to a decent standard, the owner does reimburse you the cost, and because you are a Tennant who takes pride in "your home" and the owners "property" your tenure is pretty well guaranteed, most property owners want someone who looks after the property, and in fact that's what my owner did and in the following ten years, upgraded the property with new paintwork, new kitchen and extra brick paving while I was there, it's a win win for both parties. He worked offshore and when the fences were blown down in a storm, I contacted him, he organised the insurance claim and I oversaw the installation of the new fences in his absence. 👍🇦🇺

Same here in the U.S, if u rent u can't remodel cause it's not yours.
@carolesmith48642 жыл бұрын
@@thaomay17 We painted our apartment and I put a new floor in the kitchen, and new wallpaper in the bathroom. We repainted it white before we moved out and got our security deposit back. Some landlords don't mind if the things you do are nice, but not all are like that.

You spent so much money to build your house.With the color of the wall you also painted the ceiling And also on the ceiling it seemed the sign from the old fixture.Why you didnt paint the ceiling. I dont like that you left it half.I wonder how someone else hasnt told you.When you start a job to finish it. Here in Greece we say that you do what the mother-in-law sees😂 🤣😂 🤣

I not sure if the thumbnail is an incorrect translation or if China differs from other countries. In most other countries if you rent your home things like a paint job and changing fixtures (like kitchens & bathrooms) is the responsibility of the person who owns the premises, not the person who rents them. Homes can be rented furnished or unfurnished, with the latter being most common.
@gracezeng65062 жыл бұрын
In China, Renovating a rental house should always get the consent of the house owner, otherwise you will get sued.

Ok, I just saw the L shape balcony. The floor is by the door. No floor on the short side of the L. Lovely plants and trees. Pretty cat. Sand box or litter box for cat? Kitchen? Bathroom? Decorated well. Asian men are more esthetically interested than other countries, because of culture. Women are interested in building and renovation. It is nice to see that field open to anyone with interest and knowledge.

The apartment looks great with all the work and money spent on it but because of such a big investment of time and money it looks like he would have spent an extra 3 dollars for a paint brush and trimmed out the paint around the ceiling and baseboard, it looks unprofessional.
@loserplanet2 жыл бұрын
I was wondering if I was the only one triggered by the blue paint dripping down onto the wooden baseboards and sloppily painted around the door trim and ceiling. Like watching and waiting for it to be fixed. Looks so horrible. I appreciate all the effort put into the space but that paint finish.....gah People who paint like this are why most landlords don't allow you to paint!
@pennykivett13412 жыл бұрын
@@loserplanet I noticed the sloppy paint job well because I can see but mainly because my husband is a painter and has been for 40 years, so it stuck out.
