As far as Obito changing his voice, remember when Yamato impersonated Sasori to try to capture Kabuto? Also, remember that the Transformation Jutsu exists, and even pre-Genin Konohamaru was able to pull off a good female voice after Naruto taught him the Sexy Jutsu. So I think it's safe to say that there's a voice modulation jutsu, one that's probably part of the standard Shinobi Academy curriculum considering Naruto was able to teach it to Konohamaru when Naruto had just graduated.

All the CLUES at who Tobi really was. 01. Obito is named dropped a few times in Naruto Part 1, hinting that this character is very important to Kakashi's Past. 02. In the Manga the Kakashi Chronicles happen between Part 1 and Part 2 of the Manga. In the Anime however, they adpated the Flashbacks AFTER Tobi is introduced and the biggest connection really is just the same style of Haircut between Obito and Tobi. 03. We've already seen Madara's Face a few times via the Valley Stature and Flashbacks when Itachi was telling Madara's Story. If Tobi was Madara WHY THE HELL was he still wearing a Mask? Either Madara was heavily scarred or...Tobi was Lying and it was a character who we have already seen before hidden behind the Mask and Kishimoto was keeping his identity hidden for obivous reasons. 04. Whenever Tobi encountered Naruto, Kakashi was ALWAYS there. In fact, the first person to notice Tobi's Sharingan WAS Kakashi. 05. We never found out what happened to Rin and whether she was dead or alive. In Part 1 Kakashi tells Sasuke all his Loved Ones are dead but the Kakashi Chronicles have Kakashi promise Obito he will protect Rin. So the big question always was...WHAT HAPPENED TO RIN? Is She really dead? And if she is Dead...HOW AND WHY? During the Pain Invasion Arc we learn after Kakashi's "Death" he failed to protect Rin and keep her safe. This is a HUGE reveal of importance. Yet people ignored it, not thinking much of it when it was really a big important detail. 06. When Tobi fights Konan he ends up losing a arm that's revealed to be a artifical arm. Tobi has a Artifical prosthetic arm. And its located on the literal side of the body where Obito was crushed by the rocks. 07. With that mind, if the Rocks crushed Obito than how would Obito have survived? Easy. Tobi has the ability to phase through objects. The moment you consider that Tobi could be Obito, it makes alot of sense how he survived from getting further crushed by the rocks at the end. His ability clearly activated and he phased through the rocks. But than that leads to another question...Who saved and patched up Obito? If Tobi really indeed was Obito than why was he pretending to be Madara? It would likely mean Obito met the real Madara who saved him and Madara entrusted Obito with his mission. Of couse the next question is...If Obito did meet Madara, did Obito kill him and steal his identity or did something else happen? 08. During the confrontation with Kabuto and Kabuto revealing a secret coffin, it was enough to scare Tobi into allowing Kabuto to join forces with him. If this guy was the real Madara, he wouldn't be scared of anything. Maybe Hashirama but that's impossible because we already know from Part 1 that the Third Hokage sealed the first and second and his own souls into the Reaper Death Seal. So there was no way it was Hashirama in the coffin. It had to be someone who knew who knew Tobi's real identity. Personally the Coffin thing was one thing I never predicted. At the time I honestly assumed it was Rin's body. 09. Whenever Tobi and Kakashi were together there was a obvious parallel going on. Kakashi had his Sharingan on one side of his eye and Tobi on the other. Of course during the fight with Konan, Kishimoto tried to throw people off the scent when he revealed that Tobi did infact have another hidden Sharingan but than later on he puts in the Rinnegan so Tobi could have been swapping out that specific eye so he didn't in fact have a true second eye. And if the eye he used against Konan wasn't his true second eye, where was his other true eye? 10. Tobi and Obito's names. The parallel was obvious from the start. tOBI. OBIto. The hint was always there. 11. When the real Madara is resurrected he is surprsied that he wasn't revived by Nagato's revival justu, revealing Madara was aware of Nagato and that he clearly working at the time with Tobi, hinting at their connection together. Madara dying and later being revived was clearly part of a plan that didn't pan out. The clues were all there from the very beginning. Yet no one put it together. The same way no one put the clues of BZ and KO together despite that being in front of people's faces too. Can't wait to detail all the set-ups for that one when we get to those episodes.

It was obvious from day one with all the clues later on that it was Obito. Im shocked so many people never considered him and thought it'd be Madara's brother. I have yet to see a single reactor figure it out it was Obito early on or at all. After the Kakashi Chronicles Flashback in the anime it should have been obvious from day one who Tobi was. Once you consider that it could be Obito you just gonna start asking the right questions and putting all the various clues from the Itachi Retrival Arc to the Pain Arc together. I give Nick props for realizing that Tobi might have been lying about being Madara but the fact he and so many others never sat down to really think who it could be behind the mask and considering the possibities of how and why will always annoy me. Just once I wanna see one reactor watch Naruto Shippuden early on and go, "Wait, could it be Obito?"
