He does the things that others won't for the past 25 years, and he is punished for it by the internet mob who doesn't even live in that block.

What rules you're talking about? There is no obstruction of that area and even mentioned two wheelchairs can be there at a time so we clearly see rules are not broken so why must he remove? The gov is asking for a proper allocation of idol's but can't find solutions to be allocating the appropriate space for this man,such souls of government officials are going to fall because of rules that is inconsistent causing general public into suffocating by giving up their passion/love & dedication to even idol's that's not of their own. This reminds me of what my mother in law told me a few days back. She was 8-9 years old when she followed her mother to a temple. Then she noticed a man dressed in exactly the same a Cheng Huang Ye (城隍爷- God of Underworld, boss of the Dua and Dee Ah Pek, as well as the other deities such as the Horse and Bull Head Comstables) descended from the huge idol and started to eat the chicken coffering on the altar. She was confused and whispered to her mum, whom whispered back to tell her to keep to herself. After she got married to my father in law, she converted to Buddhism and didn’t see these deities anymore…

Raja is a true man of God. Unfortunately, society will always do what it does best. We cannot change the world nor expect it to change(for the better), and I believe the various deities and gods understand that Raja has no control over such events. Hopefully they will continue to watch over him as well as the rest of the neighbours around him. Thank you Eugene for covering this. In fact in Hindusism they also believe in the formless God or nirgun brahma. But humans are not that high level yet so having a God in form is more familiar and understandable until they understand that everything is the same. See a God without form does not judge no one is good or bad in his eyes. Everyone is the same. Most probably alot of the statues where discarded when their owners converted to Abrahamic religion. The other thing to consider is that the neighbours are mostly people of Mr Raja era so their views can be quite different from the modern generation.
