Agreed...EXCEPT for the main character in the movie this is based on. Watch Toshiro Mifune in Akira Kurosawa’s Yojimbo and You’ll see where he got it from. First there’s Mifune, then there’s Clint, then all the rest. For extra points watch The Seven Samurai that the Magnificent Seven was based on.

You'll care what I say. God showed me a lot of people right before they died. I gave my assessment of their future. My predictions were all perfect. These types of products are built for the collector. You buy them to add different experiences to your home cinema life. These are NOT the same experience. You have no clue what you're talking about and who you're talking too. This is NOT the old movie. These are all new experiences. The old set of image colours AREN'T AVAILABLE in this set of movies. These are AGED sets of colours. These movies will look older than the original. Grow up general public. You're way behind. This is NOT gossip posting location. You post useful information here.

Eastwood's character was not an "archetype" of the Western hero, he was more of an anti-hero, a cold-blooded bounty hunter who killed people at his own convenience and did it for profit and gain. That was what made this such a break-through character. It was precisely because the character was NOT the good guy wearing the white hat that made him so interesting and intriguing to movie audiences.

Yeah. Not saying that he's completely immoral or evil because he does help people occasionally but he mostly cares about his motives and well being above others. Which is why I think he's more the archetype of the Loner rather than the Western hero.

Eastwood's Character has been written in such a way that most of the time he seems to be an extra in every movie more than a protagonist. However, this is necessary to give his character that sense of Mystery. You don't know who he is or what he represents. He is not Good nor bad. He is surrounded by a lot of people but close to nobody... like the eagle looking for prey ... Calmness, violence, silence... No name.

The thing close to this was the first trilogy of captain jack sparrow by Jonny depp. You put the two in comparison you can see johnny's genius of portraying the elusive capn sparrow. You can say he got some inspiration on client eastwood no name bounty Hunter. Not the focus of the plot but there as something that really dripped in iconic given role.

@@danwendt4292 I think the Spaghetti Westerns in the 1960s were a lot like Japanese cars were in the 1970s. The Americans kind of laughed off both of them because they were not made in America. But as it turned out, both foreign offering were actually of higher quality than the Americans versions. Hollywood just has to swallow its pride and admit that sometimes things are done better in other places. Even when Hollywood finally did try to copy the formula, they screwed it up because they just couldn't resist Americanizing them. Their movies never came out as good as the original Sergio Leone versions.

I was born in Cartagena, Spain, and been watching those western spaghetti in my youth. At the times i thought the landscapes were a bit familiar and later, much like in my teenage I found these movies were shoot not far from my city, around Almeria to be exact, southeast of Spain…where the countryside looks mostly like some regions of the west American deserts. By the way, to this days it still have some remains of the little towns with wooden houses as tourists attraction. Loved those actors and movies tho.

Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach outshine Clint in this movie trilogy. Particularly Wallach, the greatest bandito that ever banditoed. There is only one movie heavy that outranks him. The incredible Jack Palance in Shane. His Jack Wilson was the ultimate hired gun. So good, he was nominated for an Oscar with less dialogue than any nominee ever. The Greatest shootout in western history was Shane and Wilson at Graftons saloon. What separates the dollars trilogy were two things. Quality and Quantity. Leone was a fabulous director who nailed it time and again. Shane was the best single western. The dollars trilogy is the best fir sustained excellence.

Old western films and Johnny Cash Outlaw Country music is the real raw deal. Man I love living this life. None of the young teens of today will know what real Western was really about. None of this Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson, or Taylor Swift stuff. I absolutely love this video. I was born to love Outlaw Country music and western films. I'm already loving this so much. Thanks for the video dude. 😎🤠👌

Theres a few young teens out there who still appreciate old westerns like these. Me specifically, my pa raised me on clint eastwood movies and The Rifleman, so I will always have a soft spot for Westerns in my heart. Such a shame they no longer attract much attention anymore

Legend has it that one sunny day sometime in the 60s an Italian came along and showed the Americans how westerns are done. After that nothing was ever the same and the American western was changed forever. Cynical, brutal and ugly. No one was total good and characters were complex. The protagonist wasn't a hero but selfish and greedy but every now and than was capable of showing empathy. The icing on the cake was the music score of Morricone. I hated western films until Leone and Morricone came along and turned thd genre on its head. RIP Leone and Morricone.

While Eli Wallach was still with us, I dreamt of one last western with him and Clint in supporting roles. Obviously, being octo- and nonagerians, they wouldn't have been speedy gunslingers, but ancient legends of the west, possibly passing on the torch. In the style of Unforgiven, but not as nihilistic.
