What I absolutely loved after seeing the Mythosaur, was seeing how even while being underwater, wearing a helmet, and without saying a word, you can see the thought process Bo-Katan goes through in that moment: "Oh shit, the legends are real." They did an excellent job of setting that moment up with her nonchalant tone when reading out the plaque and her general attitude before that

I don't care what anyone says about Bo-Katan. She is the first character in this entire series to refer to Din and Grogu as father and son by saying "your dad" and "your kid." Not _the_ kid, or your little friend. Even the Armorer calls Grogu "the foundling". Bo-Katan sees them as *family* and as parent and child.

When Din went under the water, he stepped off a sudden drop-off. Nothing pulled him under. Rewatch it again, the great Mythosaur (MYTHOSAUR!!!) looked at Bo and Din as they swam up, but if it was aggressive, it would not have simply allowed them to pass by it. The Mythosaur is a mighty, noble beast. It is not some weird vile monster.

It was a weird vile monster back then until, according to the legends, was tamed by Mandalor the Great. Not sure it's the same Mythosaur or it's spawn but they might explain that later on.

@withnaturalflavors there have been, through the centuries, more than one Mythosaur, so no, I'm pretty sure the one we saw was not the original. Even in its wild days it wasn't weird or vile. It was a mighty beast, one Mandalor proudly tamed.

Not only did it allow them to pass, it actually turned to its left, away from them, and began to move away. And yeah, it was a sudden drop off. When Bo-Katan dives in, you can see the broken stairs behind her. That combined with the fact that Din was likely badly weakened by the cyborg, and the weight of his armor all serve to drop him like a heavy rock. That's why he was flat on the ground.

When bo is diving down, when she turns her light off you can see the mythosaur behind her as she passes it, I think its good foreshadowing that she only saw it when holding onto din a very devout beliver

Bo Katan had a spiritual awakening, bathed in the living waters, escaped from a "tamed" Mythosaur, AND revealed her skills wielding the Dark Saber. Gets me wondering.... perhaps She and Din will begin to unite the Mandalorians, call them home, etc but then I wonder if, somehow, Grogu will be a mythological character, bigger than both of them for bridging Jedi (Luke) and Mandalorians. Basically bringing some kind of cosmic unity...just in time to deal with Thrawn and Co., who Ahsoka sniffed out.

ALL HAIL BO-KATAN, THE TRUE QUEEN OF MANDALORE!!!! Honestly she has both earned and *DESERVES* the Darksaber. Besides Moff Gideon she is the only character (in live action so far) that can wield that blade effortlessly. And she has respect for the creed while also seeing that the creed needs to be updated or even renewed. Also while Din Djarin is absolutely faithful to the creed he does not want to be its leader, which is why the creed needs to change so that when he gives her the Darksaber every Mandalorian in the galaxy will recognize her as the true ruler of their people. And I never thought I would actually get to see the Mythosaur in Star Wars, now I can see why the Mandalorians made its skull their sigil. Also Grogu was somehow equal as cool as he was insanely adorable in this episode, especially with those ridiculously cute baby noises.😊

The Mythosaur will be the Deus Ex Machina for Bo Katan to become the Ruler of Mandalore. The only option right now is through the dark sabre and I don't believe the show will go so far to have Mando and Bo fight (to the death?). I believe that she will instead try to tame or subdue the Mythosaur as a way of proving to other Mandalorians that she is worth becoming their ruler as per the ancient ways. The rest of the series will be her and Mando trying to regroup Mandalorians around the galaxy and bring them back on Mandalore for the Mythosaur test. Mando can't become ruler as he is more of a lonesome cowboy / gunslinger type and won't get bothered with titles of royalty etc...hell, he even refused a peaceful sedentary life from the magistrate.
