@Evil Betty the one guy that was in charge of multiple Star Wars animated stuff. The same guy also in charge of the current Star Wars animated show. The only name that comes up as the savior of Star Wars.

Best comparison I saw for this series was that it's Star Wars' version of "Lone Wolf and Cub". Fitting, considering where George got some of his inspiration for Star Wars.

If you haven't you guys should watch The Gallery making-of documentary series on Disney+. It's so fascinating to hear about everything that went into making the show. There's a whole episode where they go into even more detail about the game engine technology they used. It blew my mind. Also, my ten-year-old son is endlessly amused by the Butthole Door warning sign. :-D

This past weekend I needed a mental health day. Seriously, I told my family unless the world literally ended I didn't want to know. I then proceeded to binge The Mandalorian and final season of Clone Wars. I totally get where you were coming from. Oh, if you have not watched the final 4 episodes of Clone Wars....DO IT! DO IT NOW! Also, if you haven't seen it, there is a Behind the scenes series on Disney+ with directors, actors, effects, Favrau and Felloni (both spelled wrong I know). Kathleen Kennedy is in a couple but don't let that stop you.
@charlesjames50593 жыл бұрын
I suggest when you finish The Mandalorian, you should watch Gallery: The Mandalorian. It is also 8 episodes, it provides a behind-the-scenes look at how Mandalorian was made and each episode is a different topic (Actors, Directors, Visual Effects, Score, Props, etc).

7:01 "This show understands what people like about Star Wars." Well, that is because this show is made by people who actually LIKE Star Wars and played in that universe all their childhood. This is not made by directors who wanted to "fix" Star Wars or who thought they could make lots of money by giving the fans what they *thought* the fans wanted (without, you know, actually asking some fans what they wanted).

Rogue One had some pretty cool Star Wars moments that were on level with this show... but that's about it for the Disney movies. I'm glad we get Disney Star Wars TV. It seems that is their strength.

Here after watching the s2 videos. Rewatching this episode for the zillionth time be like in a world before we ever knew Grogu. What a time to be alive. This is the first time I’ve watched this since s2 dropped. Damn I almost forgot how cold and serious Mando was in these first episodes. He’s changed a lot. Especially in the last several episodes of s2. Still a total badass though. That’ll never change.

You guys should watch The Venture Bros in quarantine. If you haven't, at least do season 1. You'd love it. It is super funny, from Adult Swim, and riffs on all comic books, 80's and 90's pop culture, and Johnny Quest, if almost everyone was incompetent. It might be my all-time favorite show. Not really spoilers, but David Bowie shows up, as well as the lead singer of The Prodigy and Hunter S. Thompson, for gags. They think of ridiculous character names, then make them real, like Baron von Unterbeit, Girl Hitler, The Harrangutang, and Truckules, who is half a Hercules who is half semi-truck.

Oh this is fantastic. The music alone in this show gives those classic western feels. The dialogue isn’t wasted in this either, so when someone speaks it’s important and not just filler. That new technology for filming the location shots is amazing and you can’t even tell it was filmed that way. Everyplace they go in this feels unique but familiar and I think that’s one of the reason you can just sit back and take it all in without needing to know every little detail about where you are and enjoy it. Can’t wait to see you guys do the rest of this show.

Every part of this show works because Jon and Dave know and believe in how George Lucas did things, like when he introduced us to Midi-chlorians, which was very interesting. Knowing how he thinks and feels they were able to make this show. I thought the death sticks dialogue was good. Kids could very well benefit from that scene.

I'm actually just watching season 1 for the first time. I held onto it so long then season 2 rolled around and I just didn't get around to it. Heard it was a bit uneven compared to season 2 which was fantastic. It's not so bad so far. I was wondering though, it was very cool to see the bounties all frozen up in carbonite like that. But that's not the standard way of bringing in prisoners. DIdn't they do that on Bespin because it was the only way they could freeze him to give to Jabba? I vaguely recall Boba Fett speculating that he may not survive this particular freezing process. Plus the machine they had on Bespin to freeze him was the huge machine. Not something that Mando can keep in the hold of the Razor Crest. Am I remembering incorrectly?

@GrimGearheart3 жыл бұрын
Gods, I really hate that "this is better than the whole sequel trilogy" BS line man. And then you proceed to explain why the sequels are great, because they give you a lived in world, they don't midichlorian you, and they made the force something magical again. It made Star Wars an exciting, emotional adventure again. You guys are complaining about the *prequels*. Everything is shiny and CGI, so it doesn't look lived in, they try to explain the force as midichlorians, and the acting is cardboard garbage. As is the writing. I love you guys, but my god, your take on the sequels could not be more wrong.
