The knife in his boot is actually a vibroblade. You can see is shimmer in several scenes. The blade actually vibrates allowing it to cut and slice thru many substances quite easily.

It would reasonably be more durable however, so still useful even if it doesn't f**k a lightsaber and make it explode because it suddenly had an unstable amount of wavering plasma moving through it. *Also why did it change knowledge to knees after I finished the sentence, that makes no sense, seriously, how do I turn off auto correct?

Which if you ask me can be very impractical since if you just remove it and attach it to the gun all the time, there will come a time where it affects your scopes’ accuracy. It may not be visible in closer ranges but it will be in a longer range which is bad if your rifle is used for long range engagements. There’s a reason why operators have separate scopes from their rifles because their rifles have already had their scopes adjusted properly while the hand held one is there in case they need to scout something out without the rifle

If you wanna get technical, none of the mandolorians we see in movies and shows are real mandolorians. Mandolorians never cared about race so the name is basically a way if life rather then a true race. However there was a race tied to the name but that was long ago and they are gone so it doesn't matter. Boba fett and Jango fett are mandolorian because they fallow the ways of the mandolorian. Also there are different groups so the rules varied between the groups as to the helmet, armor, and attitude. I am a nerd if you couldn't tell lol

In the Mandalorian, the boot knife he uses is actually a vibroblade; you can see it moving in the light and subtly vibrating when lodged in the mudhorn. Just another reason this show is 100% mint. 👌🏼

@@Mysikrysa Close comparison. I'd say it's more like a .22 long rifle compared to a .223 Remington. The bullet is roughly the same size, but with that .223 you've got a ton more energy packed behind it. Vibroblades are like this wierd sci-fi afterthought to why so many characters carry melee weapons in Star Wars when blasters are a thing. Vibroblades vibrate at a ridiculous frequency, sort of like a reciprocating saw on steroids, and can cut through a lot of materials, transfer a lot of energy, and cause a lot of damage to tissue with minimal effort on the user's part. It was explored a lot more in legends, so it's really neat to see them in official cannon material.

I don't think that the thermal imaging is built into his helmet because in episode 2(?) where he goes to rescue the baby Yoda, you see him use a flashlight inside the building that the baby was kept in. If the thermal imaging was in his helmet he, presumably, wouldn't have needed to use the flashlight since it would only serve to give his position away to the Stormies patrolling the building.
