Its worth considering that actual chimpanzees are some of the most cruel creatures in the world outside of human beings if they feel like it. The style for the mc is really cool and definitely helps it to visually stand out.

I read the Korean scans up to the latest chapter, and I feel like its appeal might be that it dives deep on topics like "are human lives worth more than animal lives?" and starts a lot of discussions among readers. I also feel like the author is familiar with American culture, so the manga was probably very interesting to Japanese readers (though admittedly it is exaggerated a bit). I still prefer OnK and Look Back myself, but I can see why it would be very popular.

English reader here, I'm 5 volumes in on this and it's amazing! There's twists and turns and a lot of conversation on human and animal life that make the story interesting. An anime has been announced for it recently as well I hope it does the story justice
