And once Olive is in her twenties that age gap isn´t as significant anymore. I think they just paired TJ with Violet at the end because it would definitely be creepy to "wait" for Olive. But in my head canon they just happen to meet each other again as adults and then get their relationship. Because all of their dialogue how they did what they did to ensure they have a future together feels so sad now if it never happens.

the ending was so bittersweet yet perfect. i somehow, did not expect it?? but it makes sense and it was perfect for all characters. cal and olive get their childhoods back, michaela gets zeke and zeke gets michaela, ben gets grace back and jared n drea get eachother. it was a perfect ending. sad and happy, painful and heartbreaking and sorta angering but perfect. its what NEEDED to happen.

The most bittersweet for me was all the growth the non passenger´s had that got erased. I´m happy for Olive to not deal with depression and losing her dad and brother for 5 years. But I loved the person she grew into, and I´m not sure she would turn out exactly the same now. Drea´s and Michaela´s relationship doesn´t exist. But I hope they can become just as close as before. And the worst is Vance because I´m pretty sure he won´t get close to the Stones or especially Saanvi now.

@@Beny763 maybe ben and vance will meet in a bar, i also feel like ben would tell olive and cal when they r old enough. i feel like its something they need to know at some point, but they deserve a real childhood. i also think drea and mick will become friends again bc mick still holds a loooot of love for jared, they will def hangout all together and im sure mick would make sure they at least meet. i also feel like olive will still be just as smart and into the same things she was before, but it will jus be different but it is still better and what they all deserve. it was the universe fixing itself after fucking up. the only thing im kinda upset about is that (fuck i can’t remember her name but the girl that kidnapped eden) didnt get her redemption, i feel like she wouldve but she was jus ….a bit ill lol. anyway yeah! i appreciate the feedback :3

I was so scared they were going to end the series having the cast just walk off into the glow. The ending was poignant and emotional. I really loved it. I loved this show, even for its cheesiness. I’m going to miss it and this cast so much; the end was a perfect send-off.

Not sure why but Athena's expressions got me real nostalgic. And the 'Hi, Honey' from Zeke. Perfectly describes his personality. And the way Vance brushes past Ben unaware of the fact that he had cried not once but twice because he was afraid he might lose his side was heartbreaking. My onion moment was when Mich was running past the cabs and I remembered who she was looking for. It was a reversal of the "running to the airport to say I love you before the plane takes off" and it was so beautiful. You could just see Zeke thinking "this is the woman I will be with forever". Cal was barely in it (make sense CGI is not that good to give us a young cal) and they just put clothes on someone else to make an olive.. unless she developed a tan since the Jamaican airport.... 😅

My Dad passed away in September 2022 and my life since then feels like an episode of Manifest. I left home in 2003 for school and have lived in different places for the past twenty years - had to move back home after twenty years which is strange in itself with him not being here. And looking back there are so many strange coincidences - the biggest one being in September 2005, when I moved from school to Atlanta for a job. The week of training, on that Friday morning, I had to excuse myself and go to the emergency room for pink eye. While I was there, I saw someone walk in with their hand on their chest with pain. From the sound of it, I assumed it was heart/cardio related. I never forgot that moment - it left a permanent memory in my mind. Exactly the same week seventeen years later - and I say exactly because 2005 and 2022 are identical years, each day has the same date - is when my Dad was rushed to the hospital with chest pain and died of a heart attack. He was diagnosed with diabetes in 2012, and high blood pressure in 2015. Add to this the stress of some rotten people making his life miserable (all related to money of course). In a way, he got what he wanted - he didn't want to go through intense, long term suffering with long-term treatments and hospital visits - just wanted his exit from this world to be quick and least painful as possible. Hopefully, he is relaxing now in a better place. But when I think back, there are just other coincidences in dates/times etc. that make me wish I had seen that day coming. Maybe things will come back full-circle somehow in a way that is not necessarily perfect, but at least brings closure and a new start - sort of like this episode of Manifest.

I loved the finale. I cried my heart out when Ben realized that Cal had to sacrifice himself for the greater good and the sense of relief when both Ben and Michaela saw young Cal in the airport. The tears just flowed.

I only watched the finale last night and am still thinking about it but I agree that it felt like absolutely the right ending. The ending was shocking, moving and beautiful and the the wheel definitely came full circle. To put it bluntly, everyone ended up getting what they deserved and there was a sense of everything righting itself. Even Eagen was given a second chance, thanks to his uncharacteristic selflessness. The writers, the director and the cast did a phenomenal job and as amazing as the ending was, I'll really miss the show. Oh and as much as I love Ben, Vance rocks. I'm so glad that we got to see a fleeting appearance at the end.

This show got me through everything so many quotes that been replaying in my head all theses years I remember my excitement after watching the first episode screaming I thinking I found my favorite show ever here I am knowing it’s my favorite show ever saying goodbye feels so hard but they made it so truly heart kept they did a beautiful job on giving hope to everyone in the future

There can be a possible limited series about what happed to the 11 missing (dead) people from the plane. Vance leading the series and still can question the passengers and all. Finale be like all passengers stay true to be good and won't reveal and make this story as a mystery unsolved and closed.

The series finale was actually what I predicted all along. I knew the manifest events weren't real. I thought it was a dream thought, that we will morph to someone on the plane, but I love the diversion to the regular arrival date. I know many were upset that the ships didn't happen, but the events of Manifest never happened in the first place. The show gave us the ships in the event, We got Ben with Grace, Micaela with Zeke.

literally god bless netflix for bringing the show back. I just binge watched the whole thing and I can tell how much effort these people put into season 4. I have never seen a show wrap up this well in such a long time. so good

In the end, that’s the point. Live a good life. Make amends when you can and try to make the world a better place. As anticlimactic as the ending may have been, I still loved it. Definitely one of if not my favorite series finales.

I figured eventually they’d get something to wrap it up. NBC had this happen on Timeless and was able to Do a two hour movie to some everything up, so I was hopeful something would happen

While I love many aspects of this ending and understand how it offers a full circle moment, I'd imagined other ways it could end. Looking back to season 1, I always thought the Major was such a great antagonist/villain and had the potential to be the catalyst to all this destruction, apocalyptic "death date". She could have been the character to tie government/science/religion together, and she could have done this by a pilot study with flight 828 and trying to connect them to the divine consciousness. In reality, maybe there were decades of research of how to do this, and Captain Daly and Fiona were involved from the beginning, but were given treatments to forget about their involvement when they landed. Maybe even Vance could have known more than he let on/ or learned more at some point. Potentially, maybe the passengers signed waivers on the plane and didn't read the fine print when signing up for the later flight--their memories of what happened leading up to their disappearance foggy to a degree because of entering the divine consciousness. It could have been a pilot study of anaomlies of people being connected/getting callings that they discovered in the past, and we see one-offs of this which would tie in zeke. The discovery of all this though could have been that connecting to the spiritual world through science is problematic (science/technology in itself IS good, but not when used in this way (example: Angelina, the pushback from nature etc..) It disrupted the balance. In the end, it's about having faith that all things work together for good, not trying to manipulate it. Everything IS all connected already, we do not need to force it. And to have a second chance doesn't mean you have to go back in time to 2013. It could mean moving forward and having a second chance of living life at the point you're at, given the circumstances, what you've learned, the memories and mistakes you've made, and all things considered. I don't believe everything happens for a reason, but we can find things that do/must of happened for a reason and we can try our best to have all things work together for good given the cards we're dealt in life. ♥️
